    Tried out the new system for requesting GP contact this morning for my 7yr old son who has been suffering with a nasty cough for the past 3 days. I logged onto Tadley Medical Partnership website at 8.05 and filled out the request form which I found within two easy steps on their home page . Within 30 mins a Doctor had contacted me via text (which I had requested because my signal is bad where I live) and offered me a face to face appointment for my son to be seen. Very pleased with how my request was dealt with and for me has shown me the new system can and does work.

    We were grateful to one of the GP's for doing a home visit recently - for my wife who has dementia. We are trying to follow the doctor's advice (!)

    I filled in an Online "Contact us on line" form about 9.30am on Monday 18/12/23. Even though it says allow up to 5 working days for a response. I was contacted by phone on the same day, f2f appointment offered and relevant medication prescribed. Great service in this very busy time of the year. A massive thank you to all heard working staff at the practice.

    The whole practice experience from Reception Staff, to GP contact, to referral to the skeletal clinic today was seemless and exemplary. I cannot praise and thank the specialist physio. Her assessment was unbelievably thorough. Her advice was brilliant. A massive, massive thank you to the whole team.

    I was just calling for a blood test. Although I was 15 minutes early, I was seen straight away. The nurse was friendly and efficient. But my records did not indicate what my blood was being tested for. Fortunately I did!

    I have recently been suffering with anxiety and I cannot fault the professional and caring response from this practice Their response to my request for help was quick and after a telephone consultation with a gp a suitable medication was promptly prescribed

    Although it’s been extremely hard to get to see my GP, especially with the new email booking service which can not work for everyone. If you don’t have access to your phone you computer at 9am or technology as passed you by. But after Two weeks (after a visit to the surgery after work) I finally got to see my Doctor, he knows my history and health needs like nobody else, he really is the nicest Doctor you could meet, and my trust in him is unwavering.

    After having an initial evening appointment for the dermatology clinic, I was contacted by text for a follow up by the doctor. Great care, kind, polite and informative doctor and all very efficient. I would imagine it’s the initial contact with the surgery which is sometimes difficult, but for me it worked extremely well.

    As someone with anxiety taking the step to finally book an appointment about something that has been worrying me for a long time can be difficult, i plucked up the courage to go into the surgery to book an appointment to be told I have to do it online. I go onto the website and for the life of me figure out how to book an appointment for the specific issue I have, I am a young person and never usually have issues with technology, I would hate to think of my grandparents attempting to book an appointment! I sent an email to the surgery and got a call back the next morning, I was busy so we arranged for me to call them back the next day. I was extremely stressed and anxious for the next 24hours as I hate phone calls at the best of times not to mention when it is regarding a health concern. When I called them the next day I was told that they had no record of anyone contacting me the day before, and I shouldn’t have called them, I have now been directed back to the website. I understand the nhs is struggling but it should not be this difficult to see my gp, I think it is frankly disgusting that people cannot walk into their local doctors surgery and book an appointment, I am extremely disappointed with the lack of organisation.

    We are sorry that you have experienced difficulties in making an appointment with us. Due to the high demand for appointments and the shortage of doctors we have, for the past 2 years required that all requests for a GP appointment are assessed by a clinician. This meant that we did not offer open booking for GP appointments We have recently changed the system and all routine medical requests must be made via an online form. These will be looked at by a clinician and assessed for priority and the most appropriate course of action. This might be an option to book a telephone or face to face appointment at a time convenient to patient, an immediate telephone call from a clinician or the patient will be signposted to the best source of help. We will get back to patients within 5 working days. Our Reception team are available to help those patients who have no internet access or who would struggle for other reason. Patients with urgent medical needs should contact us directly and a clinician will get back to them on the same day. Regretfully we cannot always meet the demand for routine appointments but we feel this system ensures every request receives the attention it requires. We take all complaints seriously and take on board the issue of us not having a record of you contacting us. We would like to look into this further and it would be helpful if you contacted us directly. Tadley Medical Partnership

    Life's being put at risk before I Get to see doctor as online has reached it's max for today at 11.30 .Rang at 8.30 am to be told you need to do online now doctor will be in touch in next 5 days. This practice has really gone down hill and receptionist just saying call 111 is so wrong

    Thank you for your comments. We hope you will be reassured to hear that we have now increased the capacity of the routine medical requests that can be made on a daily basis. The online system is for routine requests only. Patients with urgent medical requests can still contact us by telephone or by coming in to the surgery and they will be dealt with on the day.
