Review titled Great Travel Nurse
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Maqs - Posted on 29 January 2024
Today, I had the pleasure of receiving a Typhoid injection administered by a nurse whose professionalism and care were truly commendable. From the onset, her approach was marked by a blend of expertise and kindness. She meticulously explained the entire process, ensuring that I was well-informed and at ease. Her explanations were clear and thorough, which greatly helped in alleviating any apprehensions I had regarding the injection. The nurse demonstrated an exceptional level of skill and precision during the procedure, further reinforcing the sense of confidence and safety in her care. What stood out most, however, was her empathetic demeanor. She displayed genuine consideration for my comfort and well-being, making the experience as comfortable as possible. Overall, the professionalism and compassionate care provided by this nurse not only made my visit for a Typhoid injection a positive experience but also reflected the high standards of nursing care. Her dedication to patient well-being is truly exemplary.

I am a new patient to this practice and was impressed with the care I received today. I arrived at 8am and was given a same day appointment. The doctor I saw was lovely and dealt with my case with compassion.

Review titled Great team and service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Lucy H - Posted on 07 December 2023
We recently registered at the Allum practise and I have been so impressed with the whole team to date - the reception team are very helpful, and I’ve had a great experience during two appointments with practise nurse, who saw both myself and my son. My 3-year-old son had immunisations and wasn’t upset at all - the nurse was calm and efficient and he was very settled in the appointment. I’ve had four appointment for either myself or my family to date, and all have ran promptly to time. Thank you Allum team!

Review titled Poor service
Rated 3 stars out of 5

If you ring at eight o;clock, you have to sit on the phone for at least 2 hours, on occassions when you get to number 2 or 3 inline. They cut the phone and you waste an other hour or two. you have stopped toutine appointments after 8.00 why, you are not so special.

I needed to arrange for a check and this was done within the day, first by telephone and then by appointment. The staff and of course the doctor were all so friendly.

Review titled Great travel vaccination experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Rosa - Posted on 22 November 2023
Had to have two vaccinations for an upcoming travel trip, they explained through everything really well so I felt prepared for the trip. I have a needle phobia and so they built in extra time to my appointment and the chance to lie down during and after. The person doing it ensured I was comfortable and was really lovely.

Review titled Mixed messages
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Your permanent phone answering message says you are experiencing high patient demand yet your lovely banner outside the practice is touting for new patients. I’m confused - it seems you have too many ‘demanding’ patients already, no?

Review titled Inefficient and unhelpful
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 22 September 2023
I recently needed a repeat prescription which I requested via email. It didn’t come to the pharmacy so the pharmacy requested it. I got a txt 5 days later saying I need a review in order to get the repeat. At this point I’ve run out of the daily medication. I couldn’t get an appointment that fits around my work commitments for another 8 days. So I went to a private doctor and they told me I could use the NHS Emergency Supply online. That was very helpful. The Allum was not. I despair for the NHS.

Review titled Not a good Practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 08 January 2024
I had a procedure done and in the report received from the hospital it stated that a follow-up is needed which The Allum Medical Centre ignored. I find this centre is playing with peoples lives, not treating their patients with respect. Cannot get a face to face appointment everything is done by treearge phone calls. Your diagnosis is given over the phone with a prescription to collect from the pharmacy. Looking for a new GP.
