    It’s incredibly difficult to get in with this practice. I’ve been suffering from a stomach ulcer and concerned it might be cancer however I could not get an appointment as they are massively over subscribed. The nurses are great from my experience but the receptionists will make sure you never get an appointment. As someone anxious and with a job it’s incredibly difficult for myself to find time off to get a check up but everyone is told to call first thing at 8am and then you must pray they still have an opening. It’s either poorly managed or the receptionists lack training. Or go online at precisely 12 it’s a nightmare and I’m genuinely concerned about my health, if it’s cancer I guess we will never know.

I am pleased to read that you are happy with our nursing team however I am extremely concerned that you claim you are unable to get an appointment with a GP. I reviewed all of the calls to the practice on the day you left this review and I do believe I have located your call, however without absolute confirmation this is you, I am unable to respond. I can however confirm that we are absolutely not oversubscribed as a practice and our reception team really do a great job of balancing access and demand which is why I am extremely keen to meet with you in person.     I have suffered with migraines my whole life and been to many GP practices before about them, but after going here the other day after recently moving to the area, I feel hopeful about managing them again for the first time in a long time. Doctor was incredibly informative, positive, and possessed fabulous people skills. Appointments are so easy to book by just logging onto the NHS app at 8am and choosing what time you would like if/when they are free. Just a great surgery. Never left a review of a GP service before, but I felt like I needed to with this one.

    You can book directly with the ‘first contact physio’ for some problems- the website says needs GP first so maybe it varies, but reception were really helpful. The consultation didn’t feel rushed, I felt really listened to and had a detailed chat about the issue before being examined. She was really good at picking up signs of pain (sometimes it’s hard for me to verbalise it) and answered all my questions. Not sure if the check in screen informs patients if clinicians run a bit late but in any case she was really apologetic, it wasn’t a long wait and was definitely worth it. The plan and info about the expected time to see an improvement, and why the treatment is needed, was really helpful. Probably should be advertised more eg in waiting room so others can have the same great experience!

Thank you for raising some great points about our website and also advertising the First Contact Physio service in our waiting room. We are currently in the process of updating our website so you will see some huge improvements soon which we are so excited about. We advertise the First Contact Physio service on our waiting room screens as lots of posters up in the waiting room can cause distress to our neurodiverse patients, however I will consider how we can advertise this service more widely.     Theyre very fast. I called early this morning (9am) about a mistake in my prescription which says I would get the brand of my medication that contains lactose but I'm lactose intolerant. In a few hours they call up my pharmacy and sorted it out! By 1pm half my meds are ready to collect at the pharmacy and the other half will be available tomorrow. They worked so fast. I'm very grateful that I wont be without my medication for more than a day. It was a small mistake with potentially big consequences but its been sorted out so fast thanks to the surgery. I'm very happy and satisfied with their service.

    I made an apppintment to see a GP as I had been experiencing dizziness for a lengthy time. When I saw the Doctor I was so relieved that someone was listening to me, as I was really suffering. I was examined & diagnosed that day & was given a prescription, also another appointment was made for me for the following week. I saw the same GP many times over 2 months as my symptoms took a while to start getting better. I can't praise my GP enough. I very much appreciate all the help I was given, I was in a bit of a state on my first appointment. In my opionion I couldn't have been in better hands, so I thank the GP & the surgery for helping me in my time of need. Nice reception staff also.

    Reception staff really friendly and welcoming. Before the appointment they ring to double check what you have booked in for (to make the best use of doctors time) which is good as they signpost elsewhere if needed. The doctors were very efficient and (as always) was able to see someone in person which makes such a difference in terms of communication, feeling heard and not having to sit by a phone for the whole day/ morning to then be brought in. Also the fruit in reception is great! Staff are really helpful and they listen to feedback. Any health issues have been so much easier to sort and manage compared to with previous gp practices

    The waiting room was busy with patients today. Clearly lots of staff working hard. There was fresh fruit for patients and lots of information around. Nice, clean and bright place considering it’s a doctors surgery. Also free wifi.

    With a recent issue obtaining medication due to supply issues, i felt that i was treated in a compassionate and caring way. The reception staff stayed really calm and professional and gave me the time to explain things, and they also were understanding of my communication needs. I think it could help to have the names of staff on the website so there are familiar faces/ names to recognise eg with a summary of the doctors special interests, but really happy with the practice and grateful for the help provided. Thank you!

    The doctors and medical staff at this surgery are attentive, professional, knowledgeable and are all round great and I couldn't praise them any more. What really lets this surgery down is the staff who answer the phones - their entire goal is to usher you away, whether or not they've actually dealt with your problem or not. They really couldn't care less in helping your issue or sign posting you in the right direction, they just incentivise you as much as they can to look elsewhere. Considering they are the face of their doctor's surgery, that just astounds me. Every single time I interact with them it's incredibly disheartening, as they don't answer your queries and just come back with useless and empty suggestions or advice. I just rang up asking about updating a prescription as there's a manufacturing issue with the pharamcies, and the reply I got was "I'll message someone, OK?", and I literally had to probe with multiple questions as what exactly that means as she was trying to hang up the phone. I had no idea what exactly had been resolved or what the next steps were? They genuinely couldn't care any less about your issue, they just want you off the phone. Not long ago I rang about holiday vaccines, before I had even finished my sentence their reply was "we don't do that here, OK?" and just before she was about to hang up after deploying her 'golden advice' I had to say "can I have a bit more than that please, where should I go to?". They either have not been trained sufficiently to deal with relevant patient issues, or they simply do not care. I'm going to go for a mixture of both.
