Terrible appointment system. Had called about a shoulder injury. On hold for nearly 30mins just to be told there are no routine appointments left for this week. Not able to book any further in advance (told to ring again next week) and no online booking system available for this type of appointment. If pain gets worse can ring tomorrow at 8am for an acute appointment. Everyone will be ringing at 8am tomorrow!! Should be able to plan in advance for non urgent appointments

Don’t bother registering with this surgery if you’re new to the area. You will never get an appt. Particularly with the new system the “partners” have introduced for the summer months which will no doubt stay. People are queuing up to try and get an appt for genuine illnesses to be told by unempathetic reception staff to phone tomorrow. I saw one woman come in in tears after being on hold for nearly 4 hours trying to get an appt. Doctors treat patients as an inconvenience and row with other staff in front of their patients. So unprofessional. It’s so upsetting to have an elderly relative registered here and have no care whatsoever given to her and for her to be in tears because she needs medical assistance but cannot get to a walk in centre nor does she need a hospital. Very very poor service from uncaring unprofessional staff.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I feel this is necessary- I needed an appointment with a doctor or a nurse , for a member of my family. I spent over a week trying to get one. Each day I called at 8am and 1.30pm waited about 30mins when I could get in the queue, only to be told “try back tomorrow” as appointments were taken for that day. I would have accepted an appointment for the next day or even a couple of days after, but This Is Not possible. You can’t book an appointment further than the day you call. How is this process working ? How are people genuinely getting appointments? I have called before to try and get an appointment but end up giving up and just live with the pain. This experience has confirmed to me there’s no point being a member of this GP surgery which I have been with over 20 years.

Tried to get appointment right on eight queue full. Went down to surgery receptionist totally disinterested and absorbed with her false eyelashes. Got appointment 12 days Head not good enough

The receptionists at this practise are very rude and unhelpful. I have called numerous times to get an appointment for a lump that I have found, 5 weeks ago. I am unable to get an appointment. I have also checked online, every single day for 5 weeks, again no appointments. I called 4 weeks ago, the woman I spoke to was very rude and condescending. This is quite a stressful situation for me but I received no compassion, in fact she responded ‘it is what it is’. Today, I was on the phone for 35 minutes waiting to speak to someone (I understand this is of no fault of anyway and the NHS is really struggling) however, when the receptionist answered, again she was very rude. I wasn’t away of the medical terminology - ‘acute’ she was very blunt and rude and stated it was emergency and I needed to wait till Tuesday to make another appointment. Again, I understand the NHS is under a lot of pressure but I do not use the NHS regularly or come to the DR’s a lot, I do not like to complain. But I am appalled with the lack of compassion that these receptionists have, at a DRS surgery. Training clearly needs to be provided here on how to communicate with patients. It worry’s for me for the patients that are in a much worse position than me.
