Saw Dr today. She saw me for well over my allocated time, showed me computer data for my bloods,etc. , explained herself clearly, checked my general well being, all with a smile. Many thanks

Today was to be my appointment having booked it a few weeks ago. Just after eight this morning I get a phone call cancellng it. Now I’ve had to rearrange it!! My daughter also has a lesion on her face and four different doctors have all given her a different diagnosis!! She has already been misdiagnosed with a migraine when in fact she had a stroke (some time ago) So forgive me if I don’t have much faith in the health service. Patients are being failed.

From the GPs, to the nurses and admin staff I have received a first class service- accessing the GPs has been no problem. The GP made an urgent referral and contacted me quickly with results to put my mind at ease.Admin staff have gone extra mile too and been empathic in approach. They took time to find me an appointment understanding how anxious I was.The nurse also went above and beyond and asked a GP to check something there and then rather than me have to wait.Thank you!!

I was very happy and glad with how I was attended to on the phone, by the reception staff, at the De Pary’s Avenue Surgery today, the 5th of March 2024 at 5.10pm. I had an urgent prescription request. The lady who attended to me, whose first name starts with an S, (as I am not allowed to mention names), was very courteous and helpful. She left the reception desk thrice to speak to the Pharmacist on my behalf. I give her a 5*. She is an extremely diligent member of staff worthy of emulation.

Attending the surgery with my mum who has dementia, the receptionist couldn’t help with what room we were going in. Going upstairs we had the choice of a number of doors and not knowing which one to go in. No empathy for my mum or support for me. Asking for help and an understanding, this wasn’t given just told it’s going to get worse. Uncaring, no empathy and felt rushed. We gained nothing from going to the surgery and not even a signpost to help us. Just more upset and confusion.

I had an issue with the alteration sizing of my medication. I was short changed with it, so instead of being 100ml, I got 60 mg. Why when I have to pay for prescriptions does it have to be me that loses out in this? It would of be fair to adjust to 120ml.

I joined the surgery many years ago and was staffed by very good doctors, but now this surgery really feels like a waste of taxpayer money. The reception staff are particularly rude as the surgery remains without a practice manager.

Yet again on phone for over an hour waiting in queue. Would help if said how many in queue as just feel no one answers phone! Certainly when visit practices apart from De Parys as quiet as the grave. Is it a call centre who does not answer? Put phone down as rang at 11 after expected long delays so certainly something not right. Utterly disgraceful! And when you consider for unwell people a complete joke!

One would normally expect to be able to speak to someone at a GP surgery right? It might take a while to get through on the phone, but we understand that. What I didn't expect is what happened when may partner and I tried to call them... we navigated the menus and then were put on hold. About 53 minutes later the phone system hung up on us. That's right... even being patient and willing to wait isn't enough anymore, we just could not get through.
