    Took the morning off work to take my Mum for a review of her Alzheimer’s and medication. When we eventually got to see the doctor she was very helpful and thorough but we had to wait an hour to be seen for a pre-booked appointment. Not what you want when you’re recovering from brain cancer and Mum has Alzheimer’s!

    Sent a prescription request that was urgent Sunday night thinking I would have to wait a week and have to go without taking this daily medication but and I collected from chemist Tuesday.

    I allowed one week after dropping in my repeat prescription and on picking it up from Williw Pharmacy found I didn't have all the medications and as I didn't have any more tablets at home and it was Friday I popped into Reception and explained the situation as I mustn't stop taking some tablets. Reception was extremely helpful and said they would phone me later to let me know when I could pick up my meds from Willow surgery, which they did. I picked them up and so my panic is over! I can take them tonight without missing any! Many thanks to all involved.

    I needed an urgent blood test to tie in with a short notice appointment at hospital. The lady on reception at the Christchurch surgery was so helpful she managed to get me an appointment. Thank you.

    The lady that has dealt with me in a number of occasions is simply marvellous. Kind, polite and professional. I always feel like she wants to help me. She went out of her way today to book me my B12 jab that I had forgotten to have two weeks ago. This was done with the receptionist immediately. She did not make me feel like I was a pain or any bother. I am very grateful to her as this is not the first time she has always been willing to help. Please can you let her know she is simply amazing and although this may seem a little over the top, when you have had a bad day it makes life so much easier with people like this lady. Many many thanks

    The most unsupportive and dreadful practice. Over 10 day wait for a GP appointment booked on EConsult service for a UTI. Now I’m told I can’t have more than one Ventolin inhaler at a time because of shortages. I’m not asking for 10 inhalers. Just one for my bag when I’m out and about and one for at home. Also my repeat prescriptions keep being removed from my record. Doctors ignore any notes you put on your prescription request so you have to phone and getting through is a nightmare. Also the support for a family member’s mental health is absolutely shocking. I’m moving doctors and I suggest you don’t bother joining this practice.

  10. Review titled Staff are lovely but getting to see them, not so much

    Whenever I've had need to speak with or see anyone at this practice they've been nothing short of brilliant. However, actually getting to see anyone is a complete nightmare. My most recent experience - I had a routine blood test and received a text message from the practice saying they want to speak with me about it. Told me to do an econsult to request an appointment. So I do that, submit it. Next day I get another text message saying I need an appointment and giving me a link to click. I go to the link. it cheerily says there are no appointments but this is rare and to try again later! If it keeps happening, contact the practice! Over the next four days I try again, about 15 times a day and every time this rare occurrence of no appointments comes up. So I call the practice just to be told nothing they can do and I just have to keep trying. The link will time out after 7 days and if it does, call them and they can reset it. The woman I spoke with was very sympathetic and sounded as frustrated as I was, but said her hands were tied. I jokingly said maybe it's this way to put people off making appointments at all and I wonder if this is actually the case. Eventually today I lucked out and one appointment came up, in 23 days' time. No specific time for the appointment but luckily I have an understanding boss who won't mind me waiting for a call from them. I live with anxiety and this whole process this time gave me two panic attacks (I know, I'm a snowflake). It's just crazy that the people that are supposed to be looking after your health are actively making it worse.
