    I've been a patient of Willows for over 40 years, which has now merged and become one half of Downend Health group with Christchurch Medical Practice. Today I needed an emergency appointment. As instructed, I called bang on 8am, I got an engaged tone for 6 minutes, then I joined the waiting line in position 6, 10 minutes later I had a same day appointment, with a female Dr as requested all before lunchtime. Both the receptionist and the Dr that I later went to see were lovely and I'm very pleased to be a member of DhG

    I had to speak to the Medicines Management Team about my medication as I am having problems with getting one of the items and I actually ran out and was desperate. I spoke to 6 different pharmacies. The lady I spoke to in the team was extremely helpful and polite and through her I was able to find a pharmacy that had a few boxes left for me. Just want to thank her for her help and putting my mind at ease.

    Spoke to a very helpful, patient and understanding lady today (shame I'm not allowed to give her name!} She answered all my questions regarding my elderly father and his medication - and I had quite a few!!! Excellent experience. Thanks

    I desperately needed a doctor to see my son who was struggling, they were no appointments but one receptionist went above and beyond to ensure that a doctor was able to call me then arrange an appointment for him. I was very grateful as I know how much pressure they are under, with no faults of their own. I wouldn’t go anywhere else

    The published time to call for test results is after 11:00am but after 1 minute 40 seconds of pre-recorded message for options, you will be told to call after 11:30am.

    Had to visit urgently without appointment was very worried, receptionist went out her way to help me managed to find a doctor to see me and reassure me the doctor was most thorough and managed to reassure me. On way out had to make some appointments, a different receptionist was as helpful as the first, unfortunately I did not manage to get any of their names but the standard of service from the staff calmed my fears incredible people doing a very difficult job and a smile

    Great vacation service.other than that very poor. Impossible to get appointments..can't even get to talk to the receptionist..app Impossible to book an appointment too...they always got am excuse for poor phone problems....thinking of leaving but rhey would like that...not fit for purpose..

    Absolutely amazing service. I only delivered Mum's prescription request late in the evening. Just after 10am the very next morning I received a phone call to discuss it, the admin assistant had already phoned to pharmacy on my behalf to make sure of something and then put the request through. Also, she confirmed details that she had passed on to the home visit team already. Amazing service yet again from this surgery...it doesn't surprise me. These people really do care abouts their patients and the people looking after them. Highly recommended.

    Following a text message from Willow Surgery I went online to book an appointment for a flu vaccine. Given various options, booked and received a confirmation text. Attended the clinic and was vaccinated and out within 10 minutes. Very efficient service.

    I was rung by a member of Downend Health Group's medical team to discuss a very overdue letter from Southmead hospital. She was very professional, empathetic and lucid. I was very impressed and felt in safe hands.
