  2. Review titled Professional caring experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Denis Powell - Posted on 06 March 2023

As 72 year old I now find I am having to visit the practice on more frequent occasions the front desk always try too be helpful and deal with any concerns, the GP’s from my experience are caring and able too address and explain the course of treatment they believe will deal with my condition. If they feel I would benefit from a hospital referral they are willing to talk it through with me and point me in that direction. In all I feel the practice delivers at all levels and hope it continues to meet the needs of the community it serves.

How can you book a smear test when answer phone pushes you to econsult? NHS send letters urging you to contact your surgery yet you can't make an appt. I'm busy. I have no time to make a pre online appt for an actual appt that Needsto be in person!!!

Dear Sally Toms, I am really sorry to hear that you have had difficulties with booking a smear test appointment. I agree that booking routine appointments should be straight forward. Sadly at times our telephone lines can become very busy, and I agree it's not ideal for patients to have to come in to book a routine appointment, this is why we often ask patients to submit an e-Consult so we can even call patients back to book this in for them. If you haven't managed to yet, would you kindly submit an admin request via our website and one of our admin team can call you back and organise this appointment? Kind regards Kamal Senior Management Team

  6. Review titled Very supportive, attentive

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mahmuda Begum - Posted on 21 March 2023

Your Review: Dr was so patient with me when I was having a breakdown with the extreme pain I was suffering from, she was calm, and very organised. Tried her best to direct me to the right services and explained the conditions very well. Thank you for all your support throughout the years . Also I would like to mention , the reception staff are really nice, polite and kind , previously we have had bad service from reception staff, they were rude, and abrupt.

  8. Review titled Great Nursing

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Hafsa Sudi - Posted on 08 February 2023

My nurse yesterday was extremely professional and informative. The care and compassion she provided made my smear test today as comfortable as possible. This is something I delayed for three years due to anxiety but she educated me and talked me through each steps and let me ask as many questions as I needed. I am grateful for her expertise and skillsets, I can tell she cares for her patients.

Dear Hafsa Sudi, Thank you for such lovely and encouraging feedback. We can understand how some patients can have anxieties about having certain procedures done (I personally am like that with needles!). Your feedback helps put other's minds at rest to know that our nurses are very caring and ultimately will discuss things with you and not pressure you into having anything done that you dont want to. So if there are others reading this that might be in a similar situation as your self I would encourage them to at least have a chat with our lovely nursing team and see if they can help you. Wishing you good health! Kamal Senior Management team

Rated 1 star out of 5

You can not contact via phones. Says they have reached their quota. The so called 'e-consult' is useless it's rarely operational on Mondays and Fridays seems the worst. How are you supposed to to talk to a doctor no wonder so many people go to A &E

Dear patient, We are really sorry to hear that you have been facing issues with accessing our services both via telephone and via e-consult. Whilst we would love to deal with every single query on the same day, sadly we are unable to do this safely, which is why at any given time of the day we have to switch to 'Maximum capacity'. Usually we leave our e-Consults open for a little while longer as these are usually non-urgent queries, however even thos we have to 'pause' for the day at some point based on the number of queries we already have and the staffing levels. We encourage patients to contact us via e-consult as early as possible as once submitted we will action them the same day, if however we are on maximum capacity and the query is urgent then we recommend contacting NHS 111, which might me more appropriate rather than A&E unless its a life threatening issue. kind regards Kamal Senior Management Team

  10. Review titled Impossible to get an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Yvonne Gilbert - Posted on 09 February 2023

My Mothers prescription is often wrong when it arrives at the pharmacy. My Mother who is partially sighted finds it impossible to get an appointment . They tell her she has to come to the surgery at 8.30 in the morning in order to get an appointment. There must be a way for a partially sighted person to get an appointment other than that.

Dear Yvonne Gilbert, Please extend our sincere apologies to your mother, we are very sorry to hear the difficulty she is facing when trying to get an appointment with us. It is never our intention to make it hard for our patients with or without impairments to access our services. We have 3 main methods of getting in touch with the practice and they are - in order of preference - Online consultation, telephone or face to face. As you might already know our telephone lines get extremely busy which is why we desperately need those patients that can or their friends and families that can on their behalf to use our online consultation tool. This will help free up the telephone lines especially for those vulnerable patients such as your mother with visual impairments. Its always our last resort to ask patients to come into the practice to just organise an appointment, and where possible would be grateful for friends and family to help those that cannot, to fillout an online consultation by visiting the following link : https://jubileestreetpractice.nhs.uk/ and selecting 'Online consultations' button at the top. We welcome any other thoughts or suggestions you might have that will help not only your mother but also other patients in a similar situation. Wishing you and your mother good health Kamal Senior Management Team
