    I don’t wish to share much of my experience other than after finally getting a face to face appointment 8 weeks after a CT scan, then waiting for over an hour for my scheduled appointment, the locum didn’t listen to me, didn’t check my notes or results and sent me for another blood test that I’ve already had!! I would like the practice manager’s contact details please.

    Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback and raising your concerns. It is important that we hear from patients when they feel that things may have gone wrong so that we can learn and improve and are sorry for any upset caused. Unfortunately writing anonymous comments does not help us look in to points raised and help you as a patient or us as a surgery. Our complaints procedure and practice manager details are on our website or contact the surgery on 01843 222788 to take this further and resolution.

    Rang my GP surgery to query the fact that my HRT prescription had been refused as I needed a 3 month review that I didn’t know about, no appointment for a couple of weeks and unhappy as would have run out of meds by then. Unknown to me, the receptionist emailed my GP during the call who arranged an interim prescription until my review, receptionist then rang me back with the good news! So went from v unhappy at having to make yet more phone calls to all sorted and review booked! Great service thank you

    Waited for 25 mins (No10 in queue) when phone finally answered they immediately cut me off. Disgusting behaviour. Have now been waiting 15 mins ( No 6 in queue) and just answered. Why does it take so long?

    They never answer the phone, and when they do the say that their only asthma nurse is busy, I was meant to have an appointment with them but they cancelled on me numerous times which landed me in hospital. Don't bother registering unless you want them to let you get sick.

    Waiting for sick note ,been told only my doctor can issue it,but he has been working from home all week,how can a doctor work from home,my employer keeps asking me for my sick note,what a joke,

    I don’t really understand the poor reviews for this surgery. I’ve been registered for over 10 years and have always had great care. The E consult service is fantastic, I can add in my symptoms in my own time and then they call me back to discuss. The communication and service has always been great. It’s a very busy surgery with a great deal of people to deal With and I think they are doing fantastically.

    Knowing it takes 3 working days to complete a repeat prescription I gave the surgery a whole week just to make sure it was completed in time so that I wouldn't run out of tablets over the Christmas period, After a trip to the pharmacy to collect my prescription only to be told they hadn't received anything from the surgery I contacted the surgery and was told by the receptionist they would look into it and would call me straight back. An hour later with no return call I rang the surgery back (assuming i'd been forgotten) and was told by different receptionist that the prescription had been processed and was just waiting for the doctor to sign it at which point it would be sent straight to the pharmacy and was assured by the receptionist not to be concerned and that the pharmacy would be open on Christmas eve and she had put a note on to say that i needed the prescription today (friday 22nd). After going back to the pharmacy for the second time this morning to collect my prescription I was again informed that they had received nothing from the surgery which is now closed until after Christmas !!!! The sheer level of incompetence of this surgery is nothing short of shocking not to mention the blatant lies from the rude unhelpful reception staff.

    Tried to get my 10 month old a appointment for 4 days calling at exactly 8am on hold for 40 minutes to be told as usual no appointments available. They told me to phone 111 for a triage appointment which I done and was on hold for nearly a hour before I even got through to 111. Finally get through to 111 and can only book a phone consultation with a gp currently waiting for the call back that’s even if they do call back as the other day the never called back. I think it’s totally unacceptable to not be able to get a appointment especially for a child. The staff are at their wits end and depending on who you speak to just point blank rude and unhelpful and in the past have even just hung the phone up. Hope you have better luck than I have. This surgery has got worse and worse over the past few years I have never known it to be so bad and seriously needs some over hauling. I wish we had walk in centres near so I wouldn’t even have to bother with a gp

    This is not the first time I have left a review about this surgery and I’m sure it won’t be the last. This place is a joke. Phone at 8 in the morning to be waiting in the que for over an hour and then told there are no appointments and to make an EConsult, which I did and then have to wait two weeks more just for a telephone appointment to be told which can be any time between 8-6. Do they not think people work? The receptionists are rude and not helpful at all and just fob you off with “call back at 8 in the morning” this place is the worst surgery in Thanet. Stay clear
