    The telephonist who answered my query put me at ease by using my forename, rather than treating me as it were at a distance. Each time she acknowledged me as the enquirer, my confidence in tbe advice given grew. Thank you.

    Whilst enquiring about test results I have just had the pleasure of speaking to a wonderful member of staff who was polite, listened intently, gave good information and generally went above and beyond her role. Thank you!

    So frustrating 5 mornings I’ve been calling for a same day appointment from 8:30. “Lines are full please call back”. Call back same message, still busy… one of the days I got a ring back, no available same day appointment, had another ring back on another day, no available on that day either. I’m poorly on chemotherapy so I really need an appointment and the support from my GP. Please The Limes do something with your appointment system.

    I'm so sorry to hear that you haven't been able to book a same day appointment. We do have a duty doctor on the day for urgent issues so I would like to listen to the phone call to see what signposting was offered to you in case more training is needed for the team.     Lovely reception staff, always cheery and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. GP’s I have seen have always given me their full attention even when they have been and are extremely busy

    Tried for 2 consecutive days from 8.30 onwards to get appointment to discuss knee X-rays and treatment, could not get past “queue full try later” on both days for 1hour. Would like to know how queue can be full if nobody can contact you before 8.30 which is when I started trying. As usual all appointments taken when I finally managed to get a call back. My calls yesterday resulted in a promise for the duty doctor to call me at sometime that day, this did not happen! I have again been told this morning (eventually speaking to someone) that I am still on the list for a call, hopefully this will happen as I urgently need some treatment for swollen joints in my left knee as per the X-rays I had taken 2 weeks ago, requested by the surgery. I am 77 years old and am currently being treated for bladder cancer and this added stress is not needed. 18.04.2023

    Dear Mrs Franklin I can see that the duty doctor did call you for your consultation but you weren't home on the first call. She then called back and was able to speak with you. I am so sorry that the phones are so busy. We took over 2000 calls on Monday. We continue to look at ways to reduce the 8.30 "rush" and the call back option does seem to have helped somewhat but the demand is extremely high.     I am in a lot of pain, and wanted an appointment today. I started phoning at 8.30 when lines open. It took 11 calls and 37 minutes to be actually be in the queue. I was number 12. I pressed 8 for a call back. 3 hours later I had heard nothing, so I phoned again. This time I spoke to a receptionist quite quickly. All appointments had obviously gone. Apologies were given, call again tomorrow. Another three and a half hours? I have been in tears. This really is not good enough.

    I was diagnosed 2 years ago with bowel cancer, thanks to the swift responses of the GP. I was fast tracked for investigation and ever since, the commitment and support I’ve received from the surgery has been fantastic.
