I submitted an E Consult and received a telephone call within hours making an appointment to see a doctor a week later. Doctor was fantastic. Just a really good service.

Review titled An efficient practice

Received notificatin that I was due a check up.I 'phoned for appointment, very efficient once answered, Apppointment and another for pre review Blood test at the surgery arranged efficiently . Text reminder received. Blood test appointment with Health care assistant -efficient, quick -excellent care! PS -even your survey check on p11 is brilliant- never come across one before- yet another excellent! Covid Jabs -againn - againn extremely eficient, easy tobook, reminders recieved, excellent care at time of jab, Ireally like the use of text essages for reminders, notifications i.e health checksor vaccines available and also closures due to staff training etc, My only point of frustration is the 'phone lines-having made a selection on keypad I have often found myself 3rd in the queue so far so good but have then moved extremely slowly up the queue. Someitimes 10 minutes before each advance - I accept that there may be other callsincoming on more priority lines or the need to deal with nn-phone enquiries . Occaisionally I have thought I am only progressing as others in front of me have given up! Especially when having got to "1st" person in the queue there is another 10-15 minute wait. I am not objecting to a long queue bu when movement is that slow it's easy to get frustrated -surely not every enquiry for an appointment takes10-15 mins? That aside which is more likely to be due to technology and 'phone line configuration rather than human contact i think all your staff deserve praise for running a friendly and effective service

Thanks for your lovely feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to do so. We will feedback to the teams as this is always nice to share. It is great to receive some positive comments about the surgery and the work we do. I appreciate your comments about the phone call wait times, we are encouraging our patients to submit eConsults so this frees up the phone line, or alternatively to use the call back option on the phones.

Waiting room is clean and welcoming. Nurse was very polite, professional and understanding. Nurse met me in the waiting room and walked me to the room. Details were checked and I was extremely happy with the level of service offered, nurse explained what she was doing throughout the consultation.

Review titled Disappointed with experience
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Saw physio about knee & foot problems. Found his approach poor - declared condition before examining me. Subsequent examination was very brief. He seemed to think condition was not particularly bad but also seemed to ignore personal impact on me. Offered injection but I when I asked if that was his recommendation (I was looking for his advice) he said no and recommended weight loss & exercises which I am happy to accept. However, one of the youtube links provided (from Singapore) is extremely poor with a commentary which was extremely hard to understand. Surely there should be better examples of exercises available. Overall I felt the approach adopted by the physio lacked a personal touch and sympathy. I understand that arthritis is difficult to treat but for the first time I felt dissatisfied with the response I got from a healthcare professional. I felt that the physio thought my condition was not serious enough to worry about, ignoring the impact it is having on my day to day activities.

I visited the practice for a F2F appointment. The doctor was engaging and listened to my concerns carefully. Suggested a possible cause, and blood tests. A very thorough consultation.

Very happy with the practice although filling out the online consult is a bit repetitive and could be simplified. Filled it in on Sunday evening, was called the next morning and an appointment booked for Wednesday. Great service as always.

Normally Lodge surgery is very good with appointments and stuff. I needed a surgery last year and one of the doctor help me to get the slot. Before that I called hospitals to get my appointment date but it wasn’t available. I am very grateful to him as after his phone the hospital contacted me within a week. We need a person like him who understand our pain in our practice. I am very grateful to him.

Review titled Difficulty seeing a doctor
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Gerry Shute - Posted on 14 December 2023
I have no issues regarding the doctor. I had to wait almost 4 weeks to see the doctor who is treating me. You can’t book an appointment on line over the weekend either. Continuity of treatment - seeing the same doctor twice is a real issue. I ended up self medicating using information on line.
