    The doctor was patient listening to my problem of diminished hearing. She had to be dissuaded from referring me to Ear Nose and Throat Dept for my tinnitis. I assured her it had already diagnosed -there is no cure. So re-referral to ENT entailing many months on waiting list is a waste of time. Instead I wanted referral straight to audiology so I could be assessed for a hearing aid. I now hope I have been referred to Audiology, not ENT! Diagnosis because of referrals takes months and months

    Telephone call with doctor. Follow up/check up for menopause change of medication and also to inform doctor of a new rash that has appeared on my body. This was a successful call.

    Came down with a sinus infection that also then has gone to my chest which I have many problems with in the past. I’m asthmatic and having the worst chest infection and difficulty breathing since being a child . Filled in the ridicules e. Consult , that does not have the relevant opinions ! Could not get an appointment with a doctor, even on a phone call very quickly, but was sent to a pharmacy that could only give me antibiotics for my sinuses ! She said she could not deal with my chest ! After the antibiotics had finished, my sinuses being a lot better but my chest much , if not worse ! Filled out the ridicules e.consult again only to get an appointment, not at my surgery, not with a Doctor and in 6 !! Days time . Is the Redbourn surgery closing ?!

    Thanks for your review, it is important to hear the thoughts and experiences had by our patient to help us review are pathways and procedures. I am sorry that your experience wasn't great and do let us know if you need any further support. There was a new scheme introduced end of February 2024 to help all general practices cope with the high demand on the services. This is called Pharmacy first scheme, local pharmacist are now able to see patients with some acute conditions such as Sinusitis, sore throats, earache, skin rashes etc and they can prescribe antibiotics if they feel it is needed. Therefore, we will refer patients to this service if they fall within the criteria. However, coughs and chest issues are not something that they can help with, as they cannot listen to a patient’s chest. There have been some teething issues with this and education to both our staff and patients. We apologies that you were not directed appropriately with the chest issues you were experiencing, please do let us know if we can help with anything else and thanks again for sharing this feedback.

    Received very friendly and helpful treatment from everyone in the practice over an extended period of visits to the Lodge surgery, particularly the nursing staff. Several months of medication and dressings to my feet for eczema was required.
