Review titled The nurse practitioner was excellent!
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Carl Nelson - Posted on 14 March 2025
The nurse practitioner who attended to me was attentive, considerate, knowledgeable and thorough. Critically, she genuinely listened to my concerns and other input. I’ve been on the planet long enough to know my body and its maladies well. I greatly appreciate when a clinician listens to a patient and achieves mutual agreement on a treatment. This nurse practitioner absolutely allowed for this excellent result.

Review titled Great Supportive GP - how it should be
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Emily Garnett - Posted on 18 February 2025
Since moving to this surgery i have had three appointments for various reasons and the service, friendliness and empathy far surpasses where I was previously. I feel comfortable with the professionalism here and the call I had today with the GP was excellent, he treated me with respect, like an adult and not like I was just another patient.

Review titled Outstanding Service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jennifer - Posted on 18 February 2025
The reception staff are friendly and helpful and do their best to accommodate my needs. The paramedic is a great chap with a wonderful approach to teenagers. I saw the advanced nurse practitioner 3 times for a recurring problem and each time she was kind and understanding and proactive in helping me to feel better. She took the time to explain the process to me and a little chat to ease my nerves. I feel very well cared for at this practice and readily tell anyone asking for recommendations. Thank you to all for your efforts in our community.

Staff are extremely friendly, supportive and efficient. I would recommend them at a wonderful GP practice. I was referred the same day and had a txt notification from the hospital the same day.

I saw the nurse practitioner for an ongoing issue and received an excellent assessment and discussion about my symptoms and was given a treatment plan which was explained and I was very happy with the plan following the end of my appointment with her.

Review titled Not Happy
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Gary Sones - Posted on 09 January 2025
My most recent experience being I requested they provide an exemption certificate against having to have a yellow fever vaccination as a requirement from Nirobi where we are transiting through for a holiday. It has taken us over a week for the practice , after being told the doctor will look into it, to be told today having chased them over a number of times, only to be told when chasing again today that the doctor will not do it as “it takes time up in his day” and not something the nhs provide. In my case, given my medical history, it can cause serious illness and the doctor should know this. So my conclusion is they do not care about my wellbeing.

Dear Gary, thank you for your feedback. Your request would be classed as a non urgent admin request with average time frame of 5-7 days with the current pressures. We are sorry that we were not able to provide a medical letter of exemption for yellow fever vaccination which would be classed as private work, due to workload and winter pressures we are having to prioritise nhs contractual obligations. We would like to reassure you that this does not mean we do not care about your wellbeing and would suggest contacting a yellow fever vaccination centre who can provide you with an exemption letter. Please visit https://nathnacyfzone.org.uk/search-centres for your nearest centre. Thank you, The Meadows Surgery.

I visited the practice on 2 occasions in a week. The Dr ho saw me, he listened carefully to what I told him and he took time to look things up relating to my condition and explained everything in detail. Thank you Dr, your interest and open and direct advice was appreciated.

I currently have flu. I spoke to the practice nurse on the phone a few days ago and saw her today. She was very kind, efficient and professional. She showed a lot of empathy. I wanted to thank her for listening to me, seeing me and helping me.
