Review titled Disgusting telephone/customer service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 13 February 2024
I have been on hold for 1 hour 40 minutes to ask a question that will take 5 minutes to resolve - It appears the reception staff do not answer calls, every time I have been there, I have never seen anyone answering a phone-call, this is unacceptable, frustrating & distressing for patients, particularly if they have an urgent medical enquiry. I was told by a staff member that a new, more efficient telephone service will be in place by the end of January, we are now in mid February & the service is worse than ever!

Review titled Caring doctor
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Stephanie Youmans - Posted on 22 September 2023
When going to the doctors...its stressful, you are in pain, ill and for me..everything makes things worse..the bright lights, the checkin system, other patients. I'm on edge. When it's my time to be seen by my Doctor I go into a quite room. And I am greeted with a smile, with warmth. I share my ailments and concerns. I'm met with compassion and professional support. I feel as if I have been given all the time in the world and I'm the only one who matters. This is life changing, healing stuff. My issues have not magically gone, but with prescription and advice in hand, I feel lighter. Because I feel heard. I feel reassured. The next time I have had a need to call the doctor, there is the stressful bit of securing an appointment with the e-consult form etc and phone calls and being on hold...once I get through that hurdle, I know its all bless because the Doctor I have found at this practice will give me time and space again. Mission Practice thank you for doing your best, and in particular my outstanding Doctor! For helping me. love and blessings to all in the community. And on a small but I guess important note if you are sensitive like me...the chairs...thank you for having nice comfy pink chairs, some with arms, calmingly spaced. No rows of plastic chairs (I've experienced else where!) Makes a difference!

Review titled Great service by nurse
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Lorna O'Brien - Posted on 19 September 2023
I had a routine check up with the nurse on Friday 15th September. The wait was lengthy (only 1 nurse working that day), but the nurse was efficient and friendly. Although she was obviously busy, there was no rush. Totally happy with the srvice

Review titled Extremely Disappointing Experience
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Nic - Posted on 19 June 2023
I recently had the displeasure of contacting Mission Medical Practice and I must say, it was an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. I called with a genuine concern, hoping to receive some medical advice or assistance, but what I encountered was a series of issues that left me feeling utterly dissatisfied. The amount of time I had to spend on the phone was absolutely ridiculous. I was left waiting for an excruciating 65 minutes before someone finally bothered to answer my call. Unfortunately, the receptionist who eventually picked up was not only unhelpful, but also remarkably rude. Instead of showing empathy or attempting to understand my situation, they were dismissive and seemed disinterested in helping me. I expected a certain level of professionalism and courtesy from a healthcare provider, but this receptionist's attitude left much to be desired. I was taken aback when the receptionist did not even bother to ask about my symptoms or concerns. Instead, they immediately informed me that the practice was fully booked and advised me to call back the next day. This lack of willingness to even listen to my concerns made me question the level of care and attention that patients receive at Mission Medical Practice. Overall, my experience with Mission Medical Practice was extremely disappointing. The excessively long phone wait times, rude receptionist, lack of concern for my symptoms, and the dismissive attitude left me feeling neglected and undervalued as a patient. I expected better from a healthcare provider, and I strongly recommend considering other options if you are seeking prompt and compassionate care.

Review titled Very good care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Lesley Goddard - Posted on 26 April 2023
I was given an appointment with a doctor within two working days of sending in an e-consult. The doctor was very helpful and thorough. I had the Xray I needed the next day, and the day after that received a text message saying the result of the Xray and giving me an appointment with orthopaedics in 6 weeks' time. Further relevant referrals were also made and a prescription given for painkillers. Thank you for this great service!

Review titled Awful Service and Rude Behaviour
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 13 March 2023
I’ve been calling them to make an appointment or refer me to the hospital to be checked as I’m trying for a baby. They didn’t respond my first two calls and then after waiting for 40 minutes, a very unprofessional rude employee received my phone and I explained my situation and asked for an appointment as soon as possible.. but he kept me hold by saying he is going to tell the doctor and after he came back to the call, he said the doctor will call me shortly and hang up the call. Since that time I’m being waiting and called them again but no one picked up. I’m wondering.. how could they be so irresponsible and inhuman ?… I’m struggling with my physical health which is also affecting my mental health very badly.. I’m looking forward changing this awful gp practice.
