Review titled Great practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 22 December 2022
In December, we have needed to consult the Red Practice for several health issues. Without fail,we have had a timely response and either face to face or telephone consultation. The information on practice hours indicates how long the doctors work, and one phone call to our home was at 18.00 which proves how diligent the team are. We always feel we are listened to and treated as an individual. The doctor who saw my husband was not fully fit either but still working. The communication from Red Practice professionals and our local chemist is also very efficient. All our holiday medications are fulfilled efficiently as well. We consider we are very fortunate to have Walton Health Centre and Red Practice for our primary care needs. All the reception staff and nurses we have had contact with have been courteous and efficient.

Review titled Inexplicable lack of appointment
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Paula Ware - Posted on 15 November 2022
I phoned as close to 8.00 to make an urgent request for antibiotics .. I have recorded that I was second in the queue for +33minutes. The call was answered at about 8.38 where I explained I had an ear infection, taken medication from the pharmacy on Friday but was still experiencing pain in the jaw and ear - I am flying on Friday and need to clear the congestion in the eustachian tubes with antibiotics. I have subsequently, at 14.00, received a text saying that there are no appointments left. How Can This Be?…..this is appalling. I was second in line to ask for an urgent request this morning. I had phoned on Monday afternoon to ask for the antibiotics requested previously from Ashford Tennyson unit for the infection in my right shoulder identified in a recent mri. The staff were unable to find the request. Since the mri I have had appointments with the physio and surgeon at St. Peter’s where the pain I reported 3 Years Ago will be addressed eventually with a shoulder replacement. I don’t know what is going on but I am seriously upset by this lack of concern from your staff. I understand you cannot see me but the lack of humanitarian empathy for a patient about to fly for 8 hours with an ear infection is beyond my comprehension. I will go to Ashford walk in Centre as suggested by your anonymous text. We are all appalled at this treatment and how the duty of care has been side stepped. I am very very disappointed.
