I have recently undergone major liver surgery and today 30/07/2024 I attended Tynemouth Medical Centre to have the stitches removed and dressings replaced. The nurse was very pleasant and very efficient. I am very satisfied (as always) with my treatment at this facility. Kind regards.

All I can say is the best service 10 out of 10 I been there to register my new born baby & they have done it in 5 minutes the lady was very helpful

Arranged a telephone consultation with one of the surgery GP's. Couldn't initially get through to surgery to arrange so went there to book. Process was very quick once at the surgery and reception staff were extremely helpful.

I felt listened too and understood by the professional with whom I spoke too. I was put at ease by the doctor with whom I discussed my medication pertaining to a renewal prescription. The doctor discussed the one medication which I was finding problematic and has promised to reschedule a telephone consultation with the pharmacist which I found very reassuring and less anxious.

I don't know what's happened but this surgery used to be the worst in the area. I've been a patient since I was a child and couldn't be bothered to switch, never really went to the GP anyway but even if I wanted to it was close to impossible to see anyone and everyone was always so rude. Now? It's like a new place. It's not just a lucky encounter either, I've unfortunately had to use them a lot in the last 6 months and they've been incredible I feel so lucky. I needed a referral for an urgent condition and they did it without a problem, even chased the hospital and contacted me to check all is ok in the meantime. Another time, just 3 weeks later, same thing. I've needed a fit note too and the GP actually calls me and checks if all is ok before issuing it. They've been so flexible when I've had to pick up blood forms and barely made it on time, receptionist stayed a bit longer to pass them to me. The receptionist are friendly, always trying to help, within reason obviously. Sadly they still get the abuse but they do really try. The GPs reply to paths at the speed of light, I don't know how they do it. I honestly am in awe I don't know how they're doing it and I hope the managers aren't overworking these employees cause I can't imagine this sort of service is easy to provide. They are really trying to shift their old reputation I think, as the receptionist has once asked me to provide feedback which I wanted to do once I'd have a few more visits. Either way, I hope all the new residents in the new blocks don't all flock here as my cat will once again be seeing the Dr more than me. Overall amazing amazing practice and others should learn from them, I just hope the staff aren't overworked!

Dear Sirs, I had the pleasure of dealing with a member of staff (on more than one occasion), it is unfortunate that you will not allow me to use her name, because I would like to highlight the person that I am referring to. Nevertheless, I found her to be extremely professional, courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. It was a stressful situation for me and she put me at complete ease; she is a credit to your practice.

The GP who attended my concerns was overall a great doctor. He examined and questioned me regarding my health concerns. He prescribed what was needed to confirm and to provide what is necessary to treat the problem. He even offered a follow up and that he would inform me with the results of the chest X-ray I had the following day. This is something I was hoping he would prescribe for me as I have been worrying about my intermittent cough. This has reassured me and also the receptionist has kindly arranged a follow up appointment for me with the asthma nurse. This just shows they are all working as a great team in that clinic. How wonderful and reassuring to have such a great team.

I have had reason to contact/see clinicians much more over the last 2 years than ever before and I am always grateful for the patience and kindness they have shown towards me especially under the pressures of society at present. This also includes reception and administration staff. Parch is an excellent tool and makes contact so simple quick and efficient. I have had no issues accessing results, prescription or test requests. I feel that everyone behaves in a professional and caring manner and should be congratulated and thanked for the service they provide. Thank you all very much

Yesterday I sent 3 different patches requests to the surgery. Repeat medication, a routine procedure and an acute problem. By coincidence I receved a call from the surgery a few minutes later to arrange a regular review. I told the staff member that I had just sent these requests and she immediately arranged the routine procedure, and a telephone consultation with a GP. Plus, the routine review that she had called me about. 36 hours later, All my requests have been met and dealt with with professionalism and courtesy. This is wonderful efficient service.
