Review titled Exceptionally helpful
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Lara Sorrell - Posted on 21 February 2025
I saw a medical professional in room 13 yesterday, I didn't get his name. He had the most helpful and common sense approach to a problem with my ear I've had for as long as I can remember. He gave a prescription to treat the eczema (cause) and not just the symptom and advised on how I can prevent flare up. I am so grateful and feel like I need to say thank you after so many years of irritation and pain. Thanks

Review titled Practice Feedback
Rated 4 stars out of 5

Thank you for your service. It would be very helpful if there was at least one person on reception at all times as people need answers to questions especially as this is an in person service. Also is it not a breach of GDPR to display each individual’s full name as well as a breach of privacy. I personally would prefer 1st/2nd only.

Review titled Caring & helpful staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Arron West - Posted on 07 January 2025
I suffered an emotional breakdown towards the end of last year, and came into the surgery in floods of tears looking for help and someone to talk to. I spoke to a lovely female member of staff who unfortunately I do not know her name, but she was so caring and helpful, and assisted me, putting my mind at ease. Very professional and polite. Whoever the young lady is, I hope you see this and want you to know you are an angel. Thank you so much for helping me when I needed you.

Review titled Mixed Story
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 September 2024
This surgery is such a mixed bag of pro's and con's. The main issue is the nightmareish fight to get an appointment. Not only are there very few slots, but the online-only system is positively Soviet in it's arcane, user-hostile complexity. Older people must cry at the hurdles you need to go through. The admin is awful. I have put in a written request no fewer than five times for my medical data not to be put online, because of the number of nhs (sorry, the "ai"filtering this review refuses all capitals so I can't write "nhs" as it should be written) security/data breeches that happen each year. Each time they take my medical record offline for around 6 months, then one day I find it silently placed online again, put back without a whisper to me. Additionally, I once had occassion to challenge a (absurd) note in my medical record. My challenge was refused; no process or rationale was offered to me as to why the absurd note was upheld, nor was I advised of any process or higher authority whereby I might take my objection further. As to the environment; the walls are covered with a ridiculous amount of posters, signs and notices, old and new, making finding anything half a day's work, and making the environment into a cluttered untidy mess. How nice it would be if the waiting room was visually a little bit relaxing. Today I used the weight/blood pressure machine. It thinks I am a full 4 inches shorter than my actual height, with a result that the b.m.i. calculation is hopelessly wrong, and this naturally throws doubt onto the accuracy of the weight reading too. The machine is certainly in severe need of recalibration - who monitors that and when? On the up side, the Doctors themselves, if you are lucky enough to see one, are generally helpful, knowledgable and attentive. They are amongst some of the finest clinicians I have ever had the good fortune to be treated by. I guess this fact alone almost outweighs the negatives - save for the obstacles in getting to see one. I do realise the running down of the nhs by a certain political party to make it fail as an excuse to privitise it is at the root of the shortage of Doctors though, and no fault of this particular practice. Overall diagnosis - the Doctors are good guys but everywhere else - room for improvement!

Review titled Fantastic Service from members of staff from this practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ms. Chrysanthe Grech - Posted on 24 September 2024
On 16th August, I tripped and broke my femur. Several members of staff came to my assistance immediately, and they were amazing. Kind, helpful and compassionate. I really wish to thank the reception staff on duty that day, the nurse, the doctor and the cleaner. You were all so kind!

Review titled Great experience

I don't (luckily) normally have much cause to visit the GPs at Wells Park, but unusually have had to call on them more than once in recent weeks. Saw two lovely GPs, who listened, gave clear advice, and were helpful and patient; very thankful for their help. Also, must reference the new appointment process, which was excellent: fill in an easy online form, get a call back from one of the team who was friendly and polite, and arranged an appointment. One appointment was considered urgent and I saw a GP just over an hour after submitting the form. Quick, easy and very efficient - really impressive against the constant news stories of the pressures the NHS is under and how difficult it can be to get a NHS GP appointment. And all this at a very busy South London practice. Impressive.

Review titled cannot book appointments
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Alene FitzGerald - Posted on 04 December 2023
I used to be able to use a contact form online to book appointments. I have tried calling, and have fully registered with the nhs app, but there does not appear to be an option for booking a routine appointment.

Review titled Great receptionists
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Matt H - Posted on 02 November 2023
Generally find it easy to get through to reception who are efficient and effective at sorting out appointments and admin issues, overall I think this is one of the better NHS GP surgeries, although like all others it is subject to the same lack of funding as the rest of the NHS.

Staff answer emails very quickly and communication is very good here. I have always managed to get an appointment whether it’s a telephone consultation or a face to face appointment.
