    Westcourt will not see anyone. Not sure what you have to have to qualify an appointment. I was having heart pain for weeks, and wouldn’t se me, sent me to a pharmacist. Wouldn’t see my child who was in pain. Would not see my other child, to look at her infected ear. Wouldn’t see my wife to do her blood pressure. My dads just come out of hospital and needed his bandage changing, wouldn’t see him either! If you go to the pharmacy in there, the doctors is always empty! What is going on? And when did it become ok to stop caring.

    I personally have fantastic support from this surgery and I would recommend it to anyone. However, I attended with someone yesterday who is profoundly deaf.. The nurse was not aware he was deaf prior to my explaining and this was either because there was nothing on the notes or she hadn’t read them. His name was called in reception, but had he been on his own he would not have responded. The fact that he has to rely on a carer to attend a medical appointment is disabling in itself. Whilst I fully appreciate the need for nurses to wear masks, at no point did the nurse remove hers in an effort to communicate with the patient who is able to lipread. All communication was done through me. I did ask how she would have coped had I not been around and she said she would look into that for the future. This is the only occasion that I felt somewhat disappointed by the service Westcourt medical practice.

    I retired in 2019 to Rustington, having worked for 30 years as a Senior Receptionist in a GP Practice. It was with some trepidation ,therefore ,when I searched for a local Surgery. I chose Westcourt and what a fortunate decision. Superb response to every contact made, polite friendly staff, prescription needs always delivered to assigned Chemist,every contact with GP always resolved. The past three years with Covid restrictions have not been easy and I applaud this Surgery for its superb service.

    Their most recent ways of managing patients from econsult to urgent treatment lists works brilliantly. I've used all different types of services with this GP surgery from phone comsults, on the day appointments and econsult and every time I've been sorted within hours. The econsult works especially well, first using it for my child I was able to sort everything out via email and messaging that day and second using it for myself I recieved a phone call and was seen within hours of submitting the form. Everyone is always incredibly friendly and helpful.

    You do have to wait for an appointment. But that is the current situation. I do think that the provision could be extended to late nights and weekends, just as all other provisions. When you arrive at the surgery, you receive nothing but exceptional service

    Always had good experiences, from doctors and nurses through to reception. They have always gone above and beyond to help, I have always got an appointment albeit over the phone or in person. Communication has always been excellent and I feel fortunate to be a patient at this practice
