In July 2024 I decided to leave this practice was as a result of failure to get an appointment for an ear infection and I was given a telephone appointment for two weeks later. The final straw of ineffective and inefficient medical care came in October 2024 when I transferred to another GP practice and Weston House failed to forward my full medical history. Having been registered with Corinithian GPs for over 20 years, I was aware of a drop in standards when the practice changed to Weston House it became increasingly difficult to see a doctor and, while a few good new doctors joined, over the last 5 years this practice lost the really high quality practitioners who had been the bedrock of good medical care. This used to be a warm and welcoming practice and over the last few years, going into the waiting room felt more like entering a warzone, with threatening messages on display regarding violence. These messages are intimidating and aggressive and do nothing to reassure patients who are feeling vulnerable and fragile. I wish I had transferred to another GP practice many years ago and am saddened to leave this review of what once was a really effective service - but not any more.

This recent appointment was one in a series of appointments in which the GP has taken a great deal of trouble to ascertain the causes of the problem. I have had full explanations and clear indications of the next steps at every stage. I have appreciated being involved in decisions about my health.

Needed some medical advice, the receptionist was helpful, caring and compassionate. Talked all through the different options as it was late and most of the medical staff had gone home.

I received excellent service today using the callback system - even though I was 29 in the queue they called me back within 10 minutes .The receptionist was extremely helpful in sorting out my query regarding my prescription.

I called yesterday morning at a loss. The receptionist N could not have been more helpful, she listened and did all she could to help making sure she had all the information. Both Drs where fantastic. N then called to check id had received all information that was sent to me. 10/10 I felt listened to, reassured and excellent care given by receptionist N and both Drs.

I rang for an appointment today and was answered within 1 minute. The receptionist was friendly and efficient. It’s a shame the appointment is a month away but compared to others’ experiences with their GP practices I feel lucky to get an appointment.

I was pleased To ring at 8.30 and have had a member of staff assist me with my needs and reassure me to ring anytime and not to struggle with symptoms this was helpful as yesterday I tried am and on to get through and told in the morning phone at 2 and abruptly in the after no more capacity and to go to a&e or phone 111 if needed.thankyou I call this morning reassured me and I’m now in line for a call back

Unfortunately once we reach capacity on triage patients are asked to call back for the next triage session, alternatively if a patient feels they can not wait until then they are signposted to NHS 111 or to call 999 in a life threatening emergency.
