  1. Review titled Excellent patient care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Derek Bartles - Posted on 05 March 2025

I have recently had to make numerous appointments at the surgery and the care I have received has been outstanding, nothing seems to be too much trouble from the reception to the medical care. I am treated with lots of respect and dignity which is always appreciated. Fantastic surgery keep up the good work.

  4. Review titled Fantastic Medical Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Carol Bartles - Posted on 26 March 2025

Over the last 20 months my husband and myself have had to make many visits and phone calls to the surgery for various medical problems. On each occasion we have needed a specific service and we have always been given help and advice and treated with respect on our specific needs from the medical staff right through to the Admin staff. Thank you very much to you all.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Michelle - Posted on 20 March 2025

I rang up after asking for health letters and she was so helpful and really customer focused. I really appreciate her help. I did try to add you name but I was told I couldn't. If you need a reference I would give you one.

  6. Review titled Excellent practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by John Malam - Posted on 27 March 2025

I’ve been a patient at Willow Wood surgery for many years, as has my family. The standard of care we have received on all our visits, from minor ailments to more serious issues, has been exemplary. We are indeed fortunate to have such a practice in our community.

Chemist told me this was wrong I needed to see a Dr and wrote a note saying I needed P O M ,this did not go down well and was told quite abruptly to go home and wait for a call from Dr . Dr called and was very thorough as symptoms are similar to stroke, collected medication , this all took place at Willow wood , just before 5pm phone call from asking why I had not turned up to see the Chemist ? What a mess , chemist and Dr 10 out of 10 receptionist 0

  9. Review titled Receptionist is a horror

Rated 1 star out of 5

Called up for an appointment the elderly receptionist who is obviously under the illusion she is a qualified Dr refused to listen to my request and told me to go to a pharmacist Furious I went to the surgery to be greeted abruptly after standing for 7 minutes to be told by the same receptionist who has clearly been here that long she feels she controls the system to go to the pharmacy Didn’t get her name but maybe she needs to retire or realise she isn’t a doctor Vile I have now requested to change drs

I am sorry to read your review and that you felt your recent experience with Willow Wood Surgery was not a positive one. Pharmacies now offer a fantastic new service called "Pharmacy First". The new Pharmacy First service, launched 31 January 2024, means that patients across England can now get prescription-only treatment for seven common conditions at their local high street pharmacy, without needing to see a GP. These include - otitis media, Impetigo, insect bites, UTIs, Shingles, Sinusitis, and sore throats. The Pharmacy is also able to offer advice on common symptoms such as coughs, and colds. This is a brilliant way patients can access the medication they need without waiting to see a GP. If the Pharmacist feels a patients symptoms do need a GP review they will refer the patient back to the practice and an appointment will be made. If you would like to discuss your experience further please do contact Harriet on 01606 861120. Kind Regards Harriet Business Support Manager
