Just spent over an hour in the appointment queue, then got cut off at number seven in the queue, shocking service rang straight back and now number 27. Looking at the reviews this is an ongoing problem that the practice can not get a grip on

Review titled Always problems
Rated 1 star out of 5

Really hard to take appointments, you have to come early in the morning waiting in the queue and it’s not a fact you will have it. Last time system didn’t work people just were waiting for nothing, some of them took day off to see the doctor. Always mess, you come and wait all the time and if you are lucky you will have appointment. Last time doctor didn’t take my problem seriously and I have pain more then month continuous and I didn’t had any explanation after recived my blood test with some indicators above normal. I took another appointment thanks God were lucky to talk with good doctor after. Shame I wish I have choice to have better GP I’m so disappointed …

Review titled Difficult to engage
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Mel Sanderson - Posted on 16 September 2024
Never able to establish contact via telephone, regularly get cut off whilst waiting in the queue, no ones responds to emails and when a response is given, it is unhelpful. Previously miss a call back from an e-consult, the gp rang x2 within 60 secs, never retried and didn't leave a voicemail or send an sms. Unable to access help when needed.

Review titled Receptionists need to focus!
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 09 July 2024
Not happy at all. My mother had an appointment today, went to sign in on the screen but it wasn't working, so she had to wait in a queue. There's always only 1 receptionist working at the front regardless of how big the queue is. I do not appreciate the fact that, people have to wait whilst the receptionists have a natter with patients, there are people waiting to be checked in for the appointments, and as soon as it hits past the time of the appointment you automatically get refused. Not fair on other patients waiting to be seen. My mum walked out after waiting 20 minutes listening to the new receptionist having a general conversation with a patient. Sort your receptionists out please. People have things to do, and appointments to attend. Use your breaks to have conversations not during work hours!

Review titled Outstanding Clinical Excellence
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Gina Maria Hardy - Posted on 05 April 2024
This brilliant Doctor immediately recognised the problem and did a referral to James Cook University Hospital without me asking. This Doctor goes above and beyond Clinical Excellence and I am privileged to be his patient. May I take this opportunity to thank j. and a. I have witnessed whilst waiting for my appointment their tact and diplomacy when dealing with difficult patients. Today, 5th April 2024 there were two very difficult scenarios both receptionists kept their cool and were so professional.

I would just like to thank the supervisor on reception at this surgery who cared for my father when he came for an appointment, he became unwell while waiting for his appointment and she cared for him and kept him calm while waiting for an ambulance.

Review titled Covid injections chaos
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Arthur Kerr - Posted on 22 May 2023
My appointment was at 0950, I was seen at 1030. Had to queue outside, had to cancel and reschedule a hospital appointment with my oncologist because I was not certain that I could get to the appointment. People in the queue Infront of me had appointments up to 1100 hrs. look if you see people coming too early tell them to wait in a separate area, its not hard to do, you do have other waiting areas
