    Took a while to get an appointment 2 months ago , but once I saw doctor I've experienced a great service and they always keep in touch through phone calls to help with condition & that medication is going all OK

    After trying multiple times to get an appointment with a doctor, I had a phone call. I felt like the doctor was not considering my feelings, nor gave advice on my issue. When I explained my concerns, she told me to go buy my own over the counter medicine/ cream. I explained I had already tried them twice plus bought the test to ensure I was treating the correct issue. And the issue persisted, so I had no choice but to ask the GP. Nearly £80 is a lot of money to spend, she did not understand that. But told me she would not prescribe anything to me as I can buy it over the counter. She also gave me no advice on how to clear up symptoms or at least make myself more comfortable. This is something that has affected me, and restricted the things I can do.. and I felt as if she couldn’t wait to get me off the phone. Very disappointed. I have always been with this GP surgery, but the lack of patient care has become a joke.

    This practice is excellent it cannot be faulted. There is not one person of the practice that I would not want to be seen by. Regarding my recent visit I cannot thank all the staff enough for the very professional way my wife’s prescription was Handled. The lady on reception today pm. deserves a special mention for the way she handled my request for the prescription. A very big thank you to all the staff. George Giles

    I was recently diagnosed as pre-diabetic, following a routine blood test. Had a very helpful telephone consultation with a doctor today to explain what that meant, the follow up procedures and what I need to do to remedy the situation. Great service, as always

    I haven't seen a doctor for a good few years or since woodlea surgery went to bradpole road, my doctor was extremely supportive & helpful & fully understood my health issues . The only bad thing is it took me over a week to make an appointment ,& when I eventually got through I was told I couldn't get an appointment for 3 weeks , so I tried again the following morning @ 8.30 am only to wait 30 minutes again to get through , we were told when woodlea surgery joined strouden nothing would change but getting an appointment is absolutely terrible . Please help to make this a better system as it causes extreme stress for patients

    Recently I have had to ask for the surgery’s help regarding my osteoarthritis The y have arranged my prescriptions ,face to face or phone consultations with the doctors ,sent referrals to the hospital and every one at the surgery has been very helpful

    Once again! Ordered important medication on 18th. Nothing !! Until today when my carer went to surgery to enquire and ordered now. This is not acceptable for important potentially life threatening drugs. I want complete 100% assurance this issue, which has happened regularly since September 2023 will not be repeated.

    Phoned surgery to ask for an appointment and gave a brief reason for the appointment. I can always get an appointment either the same day or a routine appointment if it's not urgent. I am happy with the surgery, the staff over the phone are friendly, Clinician's are helpful. Most amazing is I can see a physio in a week. Years ago I waited for several months to see a physio in the hospital. Thank you Woodlea.

    I sent an e-consult request on 15/01/2024 due to pain in wrist and hands different to my normal arthritis pain and asking if I should get an X-ray as I had been doing some heavy lifting. The response was a gp will contact me on 23/01/2024! I’m classed as clinically vulnerable and have been told by 1 of the gps that I should be prioritised however often have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for an appointment. I previously rang with concerns of a lump in my breast and had to wait 4 weeks for a phone appointment. We was told when merging with Strouden that there’d be more drs and other medical resources when in fact it’s less. Nothing but disappointment . I’ve looked into changing surgeries but the only other one in our catchment is in southbourne despite several being closer
