    It's impossible to get an appointment at this surgery. You call the number bang on 8am, you either get put in a queue, or you can't through. If you do get put in a queue you wait and wait and wait, you get to number 1 and then the line just goes dead. You try going to reception but they refuse to book you appointments at reception and refer you to the phone line or their website via the VConsult option. You come home, you go to their website and vConsult says it's offline now (at 2pm pm Monday) I''ve been trying to get an appointment now for 2 weeks without any luck.

    I was asked to attend the surgery this morning to discuss my COPD results. I spoke with a really professional young Doctor , who explained my positive results, and how they arrived at the results they did . I also asked the Doctor another totally different question, to which he answered it without a problem. It is just a pity he won’t be at the surgery on a permanent basis. He was caring , very professional, prepared to listen and explain in detail, without trying to get you out of the door asap. Many thanks again to the Doctor concerned.

    Review: I was invited to a health check with the practice nurse. She was so kind and caring. She explained everything she was doing and answered all my questions. I felt confident in her practice and I would have no issues in recommending her to anyone.

    My mother became seriously unwell with sepsis +/- meningitis when we were abroad. I completed an online form asking for a GP review upon our return as was contacted the same day by a receptionist who had triaged the form and understood the importance of my mother’s condition. We were offered an appointment at the local hub but preferred to see a Gp at the surgery for continuity and expertise, and this was accommodated. My mother was assessed with respect and courtesy by the dr, and I was really pleased at how thorough they were, including arrangement of tests and follow up with them. We are both really grateful for the care my mother has received from Wychall Lane - thank you most kindly

    I was told a referal had been made to the woman’s hospital and waiting patiently for an appointment recently found out the referal wasn’t done I feel very let down by these drs which I had been a patient for over 25 years thankfully I have now moved elsewhere and now having to wait another 6 months or more due to this surgeries incompetence

    I had an excellent consultation with the woman doctor. She listened and was very kind & knowledgeable. I felt very well looked after. My partner and I have been with this surgery for decades. All the staff from the receptionist, nurses to the doctors are amazing. They are empathetic, extremely helpful and reassuring. We feel very fortunate to have such a great practice. Unfortunately we realise they are under enormous pressure yet somehow they still deliver a wonderful standard of care. Thank you to all the staff for everything you have done for us. We are so grateful.

    The lady from the medication line is so caring and nice, no matter what I call for she is always there to help, when I call I have confidence that she will do anything within her power to help me, after losing faith in the practice, she makes me trust them again as I know there is help, she’s so accepting over the phone, and will explain everything to you in a way you will understand. I want to thank her for all the help she has given me, and given me faith in getting help again

    I am a GP and know how hard access for patients is in the current NHS climate of persistent Tory degradation. I also know how hard it is to be a patient! I have always had excellent online service, medication repeats, telephone and face to face appointments. All the GPs at the practice are great, but the one GP I choose to see is always exceptional and I could not have done without them when I was really unwell a couple of years ago. Thank you to everyone from reception and admin, to nursing and doctors.

    Had pre-booked telephone consultation this morning, two hours earlier than anticipated. I always find I get an excellent result from any of the many first-class doctors and/or practice nurse consultations I have had over the past decade or so, either face-to-face or on the telephone. However, I can sympathise with earlier comments about the difficulty in getting a telephone appointment as, in the past, I too have waited over 45 mins for the phone to be answered. I presume it's a symptom of the pressure the NHS and this excellent local GP practice are under.

    I arrived, receptionist was friendly helped and explained showed me how to use the new machine to take blood pressure,weight,height, the nurse welcomed me, I was not rushed, showed genuine interest in my health, went through all my results with me in a way I understood, answered any questions I needed to ask,it was so so reassuring when you go in the surgery door worried about your health and then your local nurse goes above and beyond and you have all these tests done and checks done at your local surgery and your nurse gives you all the results and a 12monthly check then I leave the room feel so reassured and pleased and much better in myself. A very big Thank you to All the Doctors and Nurses and Receptionists for the past 12 months for looking after my health.
