I think 20 minutes on the 'phone to get through to reception is too long. The rest of the visit was satisfactory.

Dear patient Thank you for leaving a review of the Practice. We fully understand your frustration at accessing the Practice via telephone. We are receiving a high volume of telephone calls incoming to the Practice, and are currently recruiting additional receptionists to help deal with this demand. We do have the option for patients to submit an eConsult which is available via the website. This allows the patients to provide details on their ailment, and will be reviewed and triaged by a GP for management. We do have a limitation on the number of eConsults we receive per day. This may not be suitable for all patients, but it is an alternative option to the telephone. We do also have appointments available to be booked via the Systm1 or Airmid app. These appointments become available at various times throughout the day. If you are not signed up to online services, please come into Practice with photographic ID and we can initiate this for you. Whilst we do appreciate your frustrations in obtaining an appointment, we are pleased to see that your experience following this was a positive one. Arrived a little late for my flu jab. Reception staff greeted me warmly ticked off my name pn her list. "Dont worry about registering your car as the system has been turned off for today". Then l was directed to another friendly monitor who ushered me speedily into an open corridor where another receptionist awaited. Here l received the important id questions as l disrobed exposing my left arm and shoulder. I felt the sharp prick as l received the injection and before you knew it l was on my way out, towards the open door at the rear of the building. All in all a very speedy effective visit to my local doctors surgery. Well done all concerned.

Dear Philip Thank you for taking your time to leave a review. We are pleased that you have received high quality of care and compassion from the nurse that you have consulted with. We are aware of the difficulty accessing the Practice to obtain an appointment, and this is something that we are constantly reviewing to try new ways of working, to try and address the issue. We do have an eConsult service available via our website, which allows you to contact the Practice with clinical information which is reviewed by a GP to assess. There are limitations on the numbers of eConsults we can receive, however, they are a great point of access where you can provide further details if necessary. I needed to see someone about an issue and I know sometimes it can be difficult but I was able to see someone quickly, had blood samples taken and returned very quickly and discussed issues and way forward in a very short time. Planned follow up in a month. Excellent.
