Review titled Brilliant Paramedics

I am incredibly thankful to the two paramedics who were sent out to a hypoglycaemic me late last night in the Newhaven, East Sussex area (and the McDonalds staff who found me, took me in, looked after me and called emergency services). The paramedics brought me back found quickly and once I was with it, were great people with fantastic banter which was exactly what I needed after an unwelcome and quite scary out of body experience. They stayed with me and kept me warm (sorry for what must have felt like a sauna) before ensuring I was safe to travel home. The trainee did a fantastic job and was well mentored by the senior paramedic throughout (you are welcome and sorry - inside joke).

We called for an ambulance during the night of 7th March and it arrived before I could put an outside light on! Thank goodness for such prompt service, as this, together with the paramedics' skill and knowledge, saved my husband's life. The crew were kind and professional and let us know as kindly as possible that the situation was extremely urgent. I didn't catch their names but profound thanks. Husband still poorly but doing OK.

In mid March I called an ambulance for my husband. it was 5.30 in the morning and he was struggling for breath. The operator was brilliant, kept talking and stayed on the line until paramedic arrived some 10 minutes later, closely followed by an ambulance. We just want to say thank you, I feel people may be quick to complain, but we were so relieved for the quick response. We live in a rural location and it takes 20 minutes to drive to nearest hospital. The crew were really reassuring, caring and helpful. So thank you NHS, my husband is now home and recovered

I would like everybody to know what a great couple of paramedics responded to my 999 call on Wednesday 1st February in Chelmsford. They were, a word I don't use as often as I should, lovely, and friendly, at the same time being very professional. All too often people only comment to complain, but I can't praise these two enough. Thankyou.

I was really happy with the care of the South East ambulance drivers. So much help so much advice. You could really tell they cared. Give this life saving angel's the pay rise they deserve.

Your call handler, paramedic and ambulance teams were amazing today and saved a life for sure, I cannot thank you enough. My very frail, elderly neighbour collapsed while I was with him and was struggling to breathe. I thought we'd lost him at one point. Your call handler organised help and was able to guide me through what I could do while waiting for help. The paramedic arrived so quickly and immediately took charge calmly and totally professionally. The ambulance crew arrived shortly after and between them they got my neighbour stabilised, breathing more easily, and checked, then to hospital for the care he needed. They didn't rush him and took time to thoroughly check him before attempting to move him. They treated him with such care and respect, as well as keeping me informed, while I looked afrer his wife. They were just fantastic, making a very scary situation feel in control and positive. Everything happened so fast, you never get to say all the thanks you want to at the time, but I truly believe they saved my neighbour's life this evening, and I am so very grateful to them. I know our NHS is wonderful, and this evening I got to see that first hand. Thank you!

Very good & thorough with there care for me , both paramedics were very kind & friendly , they took there time ,I didn’t feel that they rushed anything which made me feel at ease the whole time they were here

the two young paramedics where very kind and considerate making me feel as though I was not wasting their time and that I was as importe ant as anyone else I was attended by two lovely young paramedics, who made me feel as though I was not wasting their time, the tests that they gave me were explained as they went along. Their job must be very stressful at times so it was good to feel as though they cared. Thankyou.

On 1st January I called an Ambulance for my 97 year old mother who was struggling to breath. 3 crew members arrived and after stabilising her, said she needed to go to Hospital. We arrived at North Middlesex Hospital at 3pm to find the corridor was full of patients on trollies. They reassured me they would stay with her and attended her needs and medication for 7 hours, not leaving her till after 10pm, after working a long and tiring day. Not only did they save my mothers life, their dedication and care went above and beyond, and I want to thank them very much.

After a day when my long term back problems seemed to be worsening 111 referred me to the ambulance service. From start to finish they were superb in the quality of care and professionalism they displayed. I can only hope this review can be positively rewarded.
