Review titled Fantastic Paramedics

My husband was seriously ill earlier in the month passing in and out of consciousness. Two paramedics turned up to attend to him. They were compassionate, caring and supportive of my husband but also us as a family. They are a credit to the ambulance service. They also turned up today to support my husband who was again very distressed and passing in and out of consciousness. Again they were brilliant.

Uncle had been on floor for a number of hours before we found him. Called 999 and Rapid response man arrived in 10 minutes and ambulance 10 minutes later. Possible fractured shoulder and hip and all 3 who attended took time and so much care in reassuring him and explaining why he needed to go to hospital.

Two paramedics attended my husband recently. They were the most caring, compassionate and reassuring paramedics that we have encountered. Their manner was so calm and reassuring. We knew we were in the hands of people who had my husband's wellbeing at the heart of their practice. When their shift finished they stayed with my husband who was in a lot of pain and very distressed. They are a credit to the ambulance service. I can not praise them enough.

i needed help as I was in so much pain from a back injury I could not get up. the dr informed me to call an ambulance to go to hospital for medication to enable me to mobilise. I was in extreme pain. the first crew arrived and with gas an air tried to get me up but it was hopeless with the pain. the paramedics arrived and between all four managed to get me up and to hospital. they were late off duty but never complained and were very compassionate and caring. they handed over at the hospital to another crew to supervise me in the corridor (friday night at hospital so extremely busy) they also were superb. They handed over hours later to another crew and the same again, couldn't do enough to help. you have some outstanding people working on your ambulances and the nhs even though very busy we're also top rate at a&e the only issue I could see was that so many ambulance crew were stuck in hospital effectively doing a nurses job (too a very high standard) explains the delay on an ambulance arriving to a person in need. but that is an organisational issue not the fault of the crews. i also noticed that the crews were very helpful to each other and there seemed to be a fantastic team spirit. thanks for all their help - I won't forget how great they were.

We had to call 999 for my daughter who had been sent home from hospital as her labour was not advanced enough but was then very quickly in full labour. We had a first responder and then an ambulance arrive. The 3 Paramedics were amazing - very calm, reassuring, friendly and professional and we cannot thank them enough for their help.

Please pass on my thanks to the lovely lady and chap who attended my home at 0430 this morning. Considering it was nearing the end of a long day for them, they were very smart neat and tidy. Also so very friendly and cheerful . They even made friends with my little cat ! An absolute credit to the ambulance service…. Many thanks Stephen Secker

An ambulance was called to my husband and arrived after 30 minutes which was quicker than expected. The Paramedics were all very kind and caring. Thank you so much for prompt attention.

Yesterday, I needed to call for an ambulance. The ambulance arrived within 15 minutes. The staff were extremely professional and knowledgeable. They reassured me that I wasn't wasting their time and that my need for an ambulance was appropriate. I really appreciated their kindness, friendliness and care. The crew were working the 10.00am to 10.00pm shift.
