Review titled Excellent crew attending my elderly father in law
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by John Creswell - Posted on 24 February 2024
Really feel we must record our gratitude to the paramedic team who attended the care home today to help my elderly father in law who has Alzheimer’s. He had been very unwell with a chest infection and UTI overnight, and had become unresponsive. They were amazingly professional, friendly and went the extra mile to leave him as comfortable as possible accessing further medical help which avoided a hospital admission which would have been extremely traumatic for him. We noted the Truck number as 4036, and case 1936. We could not have asked for better support, reassurance and care at what was an extremely stressful time for my wife and I, and indeed the patient who seems to be doing much better! Thank you so much!

Review titled Excellent care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Gillian Eardley - Posted on 23 April 2024
On the 6th of February after receiving an injury at home,i was initially cared for by the Paramedics. The care I received was first class ,being both kind and efficient . Following I was treated by the A&E staff, from porters through to doctors, again reflected the excellent care i received from the Paramedics . Since I was admitted as an emergency, at no time did I have to wait or feel uncared for. My follow up appointments have also been excellent. I should like to thank all the staff that have been part of my care and I hope the managers appreciate the amazing people working there. Thank you.

Review titled Lovely experience with ambulance lads
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Lynn Williamson/ Janet harvey - Posted on 20 January 2024
On calling 111 they sent an ambulance . The two young lads who attended performed their role professionally throughout. Treated my aunt with dignity, respect and kindness from the moment they met to their last contact with her. Handled her with care from her bedroom to where she ended up in the assessment unit . Sat in ambulance awaiting a bed space . Chatted for two hours . Provided food and refreshments and nothing was too much trouble. Took an interest in her hobbies. Offered to put the tv on. Checked her blood pressure and her pain and condition at regular intervals . I can’t say enough about these two lads . They were a credit to the service . Would hope that they would be the ones to attend again should we ever need them . Top service throughout

Review titled Medical emergency
Rated 3 stars out of 5

I am a consultant physician who experienced sudden onset worsening left sided chest pain with radiation to the left arm in mid December 2023. After having gone through the questionnaire, the person at the other end agreed that I needed to get to the hospital at the earliest, as heart attack was a strong possibility. However as they were unable to allot an ambulance time, I was advised to get driven down by someone to the hospital. Luckily for me my wife was around to drive me to the hospital and got in the nick of time to undergo primary Angioplasty. My understanding was that Patients suffering a heart attack or a Stroke are Category 1 patients, who need to reach the hospital asap for emergency treatment, as delays can have life changing consequences. Though the ambulance services did phone me 25 minutes later to check on me, while on my way to the hospital they were still nowhere near to allotting me an ambulance time. During my hospital stay, I happened to hear similar stories from other patients and earnestly request this inordinate delay to be addressed at the earliest, as it can result in disastrous consequences for many patients.

An ambulance was called for my 83 year old dad who lives in a Care Home. The crew arrived promptly and were so gentle and patient with him. They kept me informed as to what they were doing and helped me to make the right decision. Huge thank you from a worried daughter.

Review titled Everything went smoothly from beginning to end
by humanitieset64 - Posted on 08 December 2023
Received pain killing injection in my foot. Good care from the beginning of the day. Used the patient transport from New Cross to Cannock Chase Hospital and back after the procedure. The nurses and surgeon couldn’t have done better, everything went smoothly from beginning to end.

Review titled Outstanding crew
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Beth - Posted on 27 November 2023
Had an ambulance out to myself this morning, unfortunately I missed the names of the two gentleman that came out. From the moment they came they made me comfortable and told me everything they were doing. Once we got to the hospital we had to wait outside due to they’re been no room, so they made sure I was warm enough putting the heating on and covered me with a couple of blankets, kept asking if I was comfortable and if I was alright. Then one of the paramedics had a meeting at 11 and asked if I was okay if they handed me over to another crew witch I was absolutely fine with. Once I got to the new crew(I can’t remember their names) they introduced them selves and again put heating on and made sure I was warm and comfortable. We had to wait oustide in the ambulance for about 4 hours so we talked about random things and tattoos. Then we decided to put a film on to kill some time while we waited and manged to finish the film. Once I was discharged one of them walked me down to my lift and made sure I got there alright. Wouldn’t of wanted to be looked after by anyone else so a massive thank you to the four gentleman who looked after me.
