    My mum attended with a broken shoulder as a result of a fall in Skipton on Friday evening. I would like to thank all staff who treated my mum. She talked very highly of the care, compassion and respect she was dealt with. I would also like to extend this thanks to the very lovely nurse who made sure mum was looked after and in such a timely manner too. It doesn’t feel enough just to say thanks, but in todays current climate , and an employee of a different hospital trust, I wanted to ensure their kindness and professionalism did not go unrecognised. Thank you again from my mum, dad and myself. We are truly grateful. Keep up the good work in these difficult times, we value what you do.

    I attended A and E as an urgent referral from my GP with an infected kneecap which may have turned septic. All the contacts I had were of a very high standard and I was very well looked after medically. If I had a suggestion for a significant improvement to the care I was given it would be in the area of providing information about the current waiting time. I think that the triage service should be made the contact point for queries about progress with the patient's care. I had finished all my medical procedures by lunch time and knew that I was to await a meeting with a Consultant for an important second opinion. My surgeon was able to give me one warning that I would not see his superior until at least 4pm and in the end it was two hours later. I didn't have a problem with that (my wife was with me and she used to work in A an E in Bradford and knew what would be going on behind the scenes), the problem is solely not being able to get an update so I could for example get some fresh air or whatever. In the end I knocked rather impatiently on one of the doors and asked if they could find out what was going on, and they did.

    My 18 month old daughter couldn’t move her arm so went to A&E, the nurses/doctors were really lovely with her and from entering the doors to leaving with my daughter being treated took 40minutes!! Such a quick turn around when they are so understaffed (and underpaid!) she has dislocated her elbow and they diagnosed and sorted it all so quickly!

    Visited the breast Surgery at Airedale Yesterday after my wife found a lump. We just wanted to say the experience from start to finish was excellent. The staff were amazingly polite and considerate, and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. The consultant was totally professional and very much put my wife at ease. The speed that she was seen and treated was second to none. This department should be commended for their service

    I visited the Endoscopy department for a sigmoidoscopy on 6/09/22. The staff were absolutely fantastic! Very experienced and each one of them put me at ease with the procedure (the procedure wasn’t very pleasant and I felt abit embarrassed!). The nurse taking my details took her time and really listened to what I had to say which made a massive difference. The two other nurses looking after me in the procedure room were again, absolutely amazing! I felt so comfortable and safe. They regularly checked in with me to see how I was doing and kept my dignity as best as they could. The nurse in recovery was so lovely and made me feel at ease! Nothing more to say other than fantastic quality care. The unit was very calm which definitely helped my anxiety levels! Since having gastrointestinal problems all my life, along with other complex medical issues and visiting different hospitals for different procedures, I don’t think I have ever received the quality of care I got today. Really pleased I was well looked after. Absolutely amazing team!

    My elderly disabled Mum was recommended to go to A&E after having pains In her arms. She arrived at 2.30pm and was still there at 9.30pm. Still waiting for results & to be seen by a Doctor. She had nothing to eat all day & was in discomfort after having to be sat in her wheelchair for hours. In what day & age is this ever acceptable?

    I came to A&E yesterday and the care I received was excellent,I came in with chest pains,I’d had a heart attack some years back so I’m always worried about chest pain, thankfully all was good,they were very busy but nothing was to much trouble for them, thank you all so very much.

    I recently had twin boys via c-section and could not have asked for a better experience. From the start, where I had to be scanned every two weeks to the actual day of my c-section and being on the maternity ward, the staff were so friendly, warm and welcoming.
