  1. Review titled Exceptional care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 January 2023

Every step of the process: pre assessment, checking in, being prepared for the procedure, the procedure itself and the recovery was under taken with great professionalism. I was extremely nervous having not had cause to require any medical intervention for over 20 years but was very much treat as a human being and put at ease. All staff were informative, friendly and reassuring. My privacy was paramount to the staff and I was delighted that I was given two gowns to wear so that my walk to the theatre was dignified. During the procedure the theatre staff were informative, friendly and I never felt uneasy as they kept me informed and enquired as to my comfort. Recovery staff were attentive and frequently checked on me before I was discharged when all stats were at normal levels. I received a detailed report of the procedure, the sedatives and instruments used along with results. The day after I had a follow call to check if I was ok and was advised that I will be contacted in a weeks time with the result of the biopsy. I cannot thank the staff enough for their care and attention.

  2. Review titled Amazing help

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was on the day ward after having key hole and I cannot thank the staff enough on ward 20 and those who looked after me when coming out of my surgery. It took me a little longer to recover and the nurse who looked after me was amazing, she made me feel safe and comfortable at all times. I wish I could thank her again in person for how great her help was!

  3. Review titled Probably my worst experience in a hospital

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 July 2023

Was admitted for stroke like symptoms, Cat scan showed shadows on my brain. Duty doctor sent me to the stroke ward where the doctor woman in there said straight away, "you have had depression in the past" I replied with "yes, 25 years ago, that's irrelevant" But she wouldn't let it go, like depression was the cause of suspected stroke, she point blank refused to talk about my symptoms etc and I felt like I was in a witch hunt for one being depressed when I was a teenager. Absolutely shocking

  4. Review titled Thorough check up

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 January 2023

Referred by NHS 111. Shortness of breath, severe cough and chest pains. Attended by family transport. Triage was within 20 minutes of arrival then straight in for ECG, blood tests. Later saw a practioner nurse, chest X-ray and back to wait for results of further blood tests. Initial result showed anaemia. Had an iron infusion. Antibiotics also prescribed. Follow up appointment arranged for a week for a second iron infusion. Cannot fault the care given to me by all staff, from reception to leaving. Total time on the unit was about 5 hours. Obviously some of this time was waiting for bloods to be processed. On arrival the A and E unit was an exceptionally quiet Sunday morning about 1020. Many thanks to all the staff.

  5. Review titled Excellent Experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Declan - Posted on 23 December 2022

I attended the Day Surgery Procedure Ward. Both the Nurses and the Consultants/surgeons were very friendly and thoroughly explained what was going to happen during my stay. I had a good discussion with the anaesthetist who explained what the best option for me was and why. I felt well cared for at all stages of the procedure.

  6. Review titled Lovely staff

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Jessica Mowat - Posted on 08 December 2022

My Dad had a procedure here yesterday, and rather than the fairly unpleasant experience it could have been he came out quite buoyant and relaxed thanks to the lovely staff. The nurse in particular was happy and cheerful throughout, making him laugh in spite of the procedure. I would like to say thank you to those that were working. It really is people like you who keep the world a cheerful place.

  7. Review titled Total Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Gordon Eddison - Posted on 10 January 2023

: I have been under the care of the Airedale Cardiology team since Autumn following a cardiac arrest in June in Manchester (where I also received great care). Now under the care of my Airedale cardiologist who is so conscientious and knowledgable - his Cardiac Rehab Team is awesome. They clearly 'know their stuff' but it is more than that. They care for me in so many ways - I have had access to and greatly benefitted from the exercise group led by the physio team always monitored and motivated. The full rehab team have given me access to dietary and exercise advice which is invaluable. I feel totally supported by the team leader with frequent contact and genuine care. In very difficult circumstances for the NHS - these people have been marvelous. Thank You so much.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I spent a few days over Christmas in Airedale hospital with pneumonia. The care and treatment I received was outstanding. The staff were obviously under pressure due to the hospital been so busy but they still delivered a first class service and with a smile! Thank you!

My son was treated by your hand surgeon today. I just want to say thank you for helping him quickly. His injury could have been much worse and obviously I'm relieved that it wasn't! But thank you so much for what you did.

  10. Review titled Fantastic staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Stephen Jones - Posted on 27 December 2022

My 93 year old mum Elsie Brindle was admitted after a fall at home 27/12/2022, on arrival she was seen by a Matron who had come in on her day of as things were hectic unfortunately I have forgotten the lady's name, but from the minute my mum arrived in the hospital she went above and beyond to make sure she got the care needed. I think this is amazing even thou the way nursing staff and ambulance are being treated badly by the Government. And yet they still without question carry out there duties to help people.
