    Great friendly helpful staff even been soo busy still smile and a great care received as a patient and family thank you all of you for saving my dad and been soo nice to me on my most hardest time

    Triage nurse did not understand issue and spoke very little English, ecg nurse was not effective in her communication regarding my symptoms. Told me to wear a mask even though my main symptoms were not being able to breathe.Long wait for doctor. Security staff(make) both spent much of their time making experience in waiting room unpleasant, removing partners/parents or caregiver from waiting room even if it seemed completely unnecessary to do so. Poor communication, no empathy or understanding. Awful place to end up when you need all that was missing.

    I visited A&E due to suspected miscarriage on Saturday to be told it was too early to tell. I revisited again on Sunday with severe pain on my right side and heavy bleeding. I had a scan booked in with the early pregnancy clinic Tuesday and it wasn't a kidney infection so i was told to take pain killers until then. When i arrived on Tuesday after a long weekend of pain and drugs, i searched for the Early Pregnancy Unit, back and forth, eventually asking staff for directions. Staff members mentioned that nobody could ever find this clinic because it was not signposted. It turns out to be the Gynecology department. When i arrived at reception 15 minutes late, i was turned away. I explained that i had spent ages running back and forth unable to find the department or where i was expected to go, only to be told 'its on the letter'. Unfortunately the letter stated early pregnancy clinic but all the hospital signs refer to Gynecology. So i had visited a couple of other departments before being redirected. I was then told to go to A&E if i needed help. I explained that I had spent most my weekend in A&E as i was bleeding heavy and in pain. I was eventually offered an appointment for tomorrow but this was only after i had broken down in tears. The thought of returning home to another 24 hours of pain killers is distressing. This is not an appropriate way to treat people who are in need of support. Im waiting to have what is probably my 5th miscarriage confirmed tomorrow and I really wish i could have had a better experience with this so very hidden department. I would suggest you please switch your letters to say Gynecology department rather the Early Pregnancy Clinic giving people a chance to find you. I would also like to suggest such a key department offers more compassion given the emotional stress many may be experiencing. I sincetely hope my feedback is able to help others.

    Great Phlebotomy service as usual. Disorganised reception area. Rude and unhygienic receptionist - touchy her snotty tissues then the paper work of sick patients without using sanitiser in-between. Unacceptable for a hospital environment.

    Had orthopaedic surgery - broken knee. Staff are overwhelmed, run-ragged and exhausted.There is great dependence upon HCAs. Lack of coordination of the discharge process and discharge summaries not being signed off promptly leads to unnecessary delays causing extension of bed occupancy which is wasteful of precious beds & of significant opportunity cost

    Came to have a prebooked blood test, I couldn't understand the phlebotemist who was very agitated, said to lean back , I couldn't as I have a bad back, then said breathing on her ?? At my practice was told blood tests had been lost !! Really poor service!

    Was contacted for a barium meal scan as I have a lump in my throat was unable to attend appointment offered as I have a dental appointment to remove six teeth. I was informed there is nothing else and they will get back to me. When trying to phone the ENT department for an hour and no reply. I have worked in the NHS as a senior clinician and I am appalled at my treatment

    I’ve been visiting this hospital for around 15 years for my pacemaker checks etc. I have always found the receptionists friendly and the technicians efficient and helpful. I’ve always been seen on time. My problem is, I’ve been trying for three weeks to change my April 2023 appointment and no one is answering the phone. I feel my only option now is to drive to the hospital to speak to someone.

    I developed an extremely scary breathlessness episode on Monday 17 Oct having presented first at Chase Farm I can honestly say that every nurse and Dr were brilliant and moved me to Rowan Ward Bed 13, the following evening. Every aspect of care in A&E, Resus? , Cardiology and Imaging was tremendous. Every one was friendly and professional. The hospital really works class you couldn’t expect more. Thank you
