    Looked after exceptionally from arrival to departure cannot fault any of the staff from consultants to doctors, nurses not forgetting the great ‘Tea Ladies’ cannot thank you all enough. Excellent

    Attended an appointment today, one of many over past 2 years and have to say the professionalism of the staff, the treatment, the whole ethos of the hospital is absolutely fantastic. We, the people of Barnsley should be so proud to have such an excellent NHS hospital available to us.

    Been in today after going over on my ankle, went to a&e and sent to a minor injury part, here I was senn straight away sent to xray and back to be seen straight away again! The nurse practitioner was humorous and down to earth. We thought I'd be there hours and honestly bet I was just over a hour! There's so much bad press about nhs and a&e these days so thought I'd report my very positive experience today. Thankyou

    Heard lots about nhs wait times etc on news but our experience at Barnsley was 100% positive. Wait only for blood test results otherwise quick and efficient . Couldn’t fault all staff. Including doctors , nurses but also others. Friendly, approachable and of course knowledgeable

    From entering ward 38 , to leaving, the staff were superb. They were so friendly and caring and always with a smile. Cannot thank them enough.

    My partner unfortunately had to be admitted into hospital. He was initially seen in same day emergency care Friday evening and was advised to attend same day emergency care again at 7:30am. The care received by the auxiliary nurse working Saturday 19th August was absolutely outstanding. Nothing was ever too much, she was kind, caring, and showed a high standard of dignity towards my partner. Credit to her work as she does an amazing job.

    I was sent to urology for an urgent diagnosis, after a mix up at the xray department who sent me straight to urology before doing a scan( the consultant quickly rectified this )I received excellent treatment from all the professionals involved I cannot praise the department high enough

    I had an appointment which the consultant said see you next week but on the next appointment 13th June at 9am hospital rang me too say tge appointment has been cancelled for 1,30 same day,next appointment was for 22nd June but didn't get the letter for it till Fri 23rd too late,so I'm now awaiting another appointment,but right now I'm trying too deal with a flare up of blepharitis which I had last August/September and was given maxitrol ointment which cleared it,I spoke to a doctor this morning at my surgery explaining about my eye,he said he wasn't happy too give me steroid ointment and that I should ring opthalmology department up,I tried that but phone keeps ringing,thing is I only have my right eye for sight and this is the 1 starting the blepharitis on as I'm completely blind in left eye so I don't want it to get bad like last year,hope someone can help me much appreciated,pauline tunnicliffe.

    I was referred to the gynaecologist 8-9 months back and I haven’t still got the appointment….When I contacted the gynaecology team they suggested me to ask gp to convert to immediate waiting list…so my gp have done the same on December and am still waiting…My health condition is getting worse day by day and now I am helplessly quiting my job and career here and going for treatment to my country…what is the use of this health system if the patients are not getting right treatment at the right time….There is no use of displaying nhs values and commitments in the website without practically doing it…

    Because of a cancellation i recieved an appointment on July 3rd for 3.30 pm on that day.Recived it on my phone at3 pm and when i looked it had been sent the day before from the hospital on July 2nd but didn't come through to me till the day after so therefore too late to attend. In other words was missed. Iam very upset and dissapointed cause i am desperate to be seen and my G.P. had refered me for the second time cause she knew i was upset.
