  1. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by James Rabbitt - Posted on 12 October 2024

Having had deteriorating health and difficulty in obtaining a doctors appointment, I had cause to contact nhs 111 yesterday . They arranged for an ambulance to attend me at home . I was impressed by the knowledge , professionalism and speed of arrival of the ambulance team( despite all rumours to the contrary ) I had been going downhill health wise and not receiving a correct diagnosis from my doctors practice for some time, the girls soon identified the problem of my illness and arranged for me to be taken to Bassetlaw accident and emergency, where I was quickly admitted and receiving attention from very capable team of Doctors and Nurses , one of which was on her first day from Sheffield University Throughout my diagnosis, treatment and even refreshments provided during my stay at accident and emergency I received excellent attention and care, and when discharged I came away with a very oositive opinion of the service provided throughout - cannot compliment everybody concerned enough . My thanks go out to all of you well done 👍👍

  2. Review titled Fantastic hospital

Rated 5 stars out of 5

It was my first time attending this hospital as my usual practice were unable to fit me in for an elective c section but now it is the only one I want to use going forward. I was seen almost straight away with very little waiting time and every member of staff (that I met) was very helpful and professional and put me at ease right away. During the procedure, both me and my baby had some complications. He had turned breech and I reacted badly to the spinal. I also hemorrhaged fairly heavily and honestly, if it hadn't been for the wonderful team that was seeing to me, my baby and I might not be here today. They saved us and I can never thank them enough for that.

  3. Review titled Fantastic service received in a and e

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended following a private surgery a week ago and was referred by the doctor for suspected sepsis. when I walked through the door into a full waiting room at 10:30 am, I had been seen by four separate hard-working and caring members of staff. Medical staff do all they can under very difficult circumstances in the public sector with more demands and less money and staff but higher expectations. I was desperate to get back from my son’s first day at his new school and they did all they could to facilitate that. Staff as usual at the NHS building were absolutely brilliant so thank you. My only gripe was that the waiting area is full and you have no privacy as the reception and waiting area are in the same place which is difficult. That aside as this is a design issue but all the medical staff seen are phenomenal so thanks.

  4. Review titled The Best of Everything

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My wife was rushed into A E on Monday evening last week. She had severe breathing difficulties. Within half an hour she was in an ambulance on the way to the hospital. On arrival at the emergency dept she was stabilised and given Oxygen. The staff on the department cared for her impeccably before she was transferred to Assessment Treatment Centre. Again they couldn't do enough for her. Because of bed rotation she was then over to c1. This was a difficult ward to be on as the patients were all so very ill. The staff here instilled confidence in her and she eventually had the oxygen ceased. Nothing was of any trouble to any staff member throughout her 4 day stay. The staff and services are of the highest standards. I would be grateful if our appreciation could be passed to all the mentioned departments so the staff are aware how grateful we are for the help and medical attention my wife received. Only problem was I got a parking ticket for failing to display my badge. It was my fault though and I have no unhappiness in paying it. Bassetlaw hospital provides the highest standards in medical and emergency care. We send our sincere gratitude for all that we received from the caring doctors and nurses there

  7. Review titled Great care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended A&E at night due to the extreme effects of radiotherapy cancer treatment, causing continuous coughing and shortness of breathe. A young female doctor could not treat the coughing as it was caused by the treatment but noticed that I also had serious radiation burns from the treatment. She prescribed antibiotics for that and I would like her to know that they worked wonderfully and the burns and the cough improved greatly and quickly from that day.

  10. Review titled Fantastic Staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Zoe - Posted on 11 March 2024

I went to A&E with chest pain and was seen promptly. All the staff from the receptionist to the Dr and nurse that saw me, were reassuring, comforting and made me feel like my concerns were being dealt with in a prompt manner. They all acted with care, compassion and understanding. I arrived at 10pm and was out by 2am. The wait was long, but I didn't mind as I know the staff were doing their best. Thank you all so much for all you did.
