  2. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sandra - Posted on 26 July 2024

I attended an appointment at the stroke clinic and didn’t wait more than 5minutes before I was seen, the staff were happy and explained everything that would happen, I also had a scan and an MRI and again , the staff were happy, informative and professional, I was also given a map to follow to find each department. I have had a few operations in the past few years in orthopaedic and the consultants have been excellent in repairing my breaks . Thanks you all for your excellent help.

  3. Review titled Caldwell Centre staff brilliant

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Tina Wright - Posted on 05 June 2024

Was referred by GP for x-rays. Centre runs a walk in service. Staff in there are friendly and efficient. The receptionist clearly explained the process. Waiting time was good and the technicians were excellent as well as reassuring about the problem I have. All should be praised for their brilliant service.

  4. Review titled Terrible

Rated 1 star out of 5

Was taken in Thursday for my son who is a baby, who had trouble gaining weight, and was monitored all afternoon Thursday and all evening, come Friday nobody was checking him, took bloods had to chase for the results. Was told “ they don’t know as I wasn’t in” regardless whether that was in or not there’s still other staff working I wasn’t going to accept there excuse. Saturday and Sunday were the same never saw anyone, Monday came I asked why the staff are so unhelpful and all I kept getting was “ I wasn’t in at the weekend” well I’m sorry but there was staff in you. The care we received was poor and shocking.

  5. Review titled Staff are a credit

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Clinton - Posted on 04 June 2024

After a lengthy admission of 11 hours on 28th May I spent 2 days and nights in Elizabeth ward and the care I received was excellent. The staff, in the ward, doctors, nurses, carers, A&E, admissions, porters, shop, restaurant, those doing all the tests were all brilliant, too many good ones to name them, they have a very good team spirit. They made me feel very well cared for and definitely assisted my recovery, thank you so much! The food in the ward and restaurant was also great. On negative points the showers had very poor flow and to get an adequate flow of water it was cold; my MRI took too long, nearly 3 days, and I understood there were 180 waiting and thus caused me to bed block for probably a day and a half; and it seems admission and less so the discharge processes were clunky causing further delays and some wasted resource.

  6. Review titled Terrible service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Connor - Posted on 22 April 2024

My stepson is in hospital and they have treated him in a very bad state. I am not happy the way his little foot has gone due to them not rapping it up he has pulled it out and we told the nurse to come and check it and they took it out and left him for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The service has to be provided in more common sense as my step is important to u and he need to get better. Provide more nurses to go round the whole ward and sort yourselves out

  7. Review titled No hot water

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 May 2024

Got placed onto the Endoscopy ward due to the beds being full, six men sharing one room, when it came to having a wash, there wasn't any hot or warm water, just a sink with zero help of how to remain clean! After six day I was told there was a shower facility down the corridor at the Victoria ward. Up until then it was cold shaves cold washesall in all pretty diabolical.

  8. Review titled Excellent

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Michael Desborough - Posted on 20 April 2024

We attended early on a Wednesday morning. I had excellent treatment from every member of the team that I dealt with. They were so busy, but kept me updated and were so friendly, really put my mind at rest as well as dealing with my medical issue. Thank you.

  9. Review titled Kind and caring A&E team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 March 2024

There was no wait to be triaged and I was seen in under 5 minutes, given strong pain relief and the triage nurse then personally wheeled me to the consultant’s area where I was looked after with great care and kindness. I was given 2 X-Rays and a CT scan. I was given further pain relief when the first medication wore off and I was then thoroughly assessed by 2 professional ladies who wanted to be satisfied that I could return home and carry on living independently and safely, with the right pain relief, or whether they would need to keep me in hospital for a few days whilst they arranged a support package before sending me home. The assessors were happy that I could still cope on my own with the right pain relief and I was able to return home the same day with instructions to contact my GP for additional medication, as needed. Throughout my whole time at Bedford Hospital South Wing, I was treated with great care, consideration and kindness and the whole A&E team did a thorough job of investigating the causes of my pain. Very impressed how "joined up" the whole treatment was. Triage, doctor, X-Ray, CT scan, home assessors, medication prescription. A seamless experience. Thank you to everyone involved in my care.

  10. Review titled Caring, thoughtful clinical staff and a careful procedure

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 March 2024

I couldn't fault my experience of this service - a GP referral which was picked up and dealt with within a week, with 2 appointments, all with understanding and caring staff. Both times, the clinicians explained the procedures really carefully and clearly really care. Thank you to the NHS team - we are a lucky country X
