My husband was referred to dermatology via his gp. He received a letter stating the referral was under review and if not heard anything by 15th Nov to co tact the dept. My husband tried but couldn't get through. He was very distraught this weekend saying he couldn't get through and no one cares. I decided to try for him this morning. The lines open 0845am I rang at 0845am but was told I was number 18 in the queue. I start work at 9am had to end the call. My husband had gi ished his night shift and tried after me and is still on hold at number 32. There is no alternative number to ring. I myself work at Pinderfields hospital but is this some kind of a joke?????

Telephone line a nightmare, can't get to speak to anyone. No one knows what is going on. Appointment line were rude when I asked to cancel an unexpected appointment that I couldn't attend & was freeing up for another patient. Rheumatology receptionist does not let you finish a full sentence. It's difficult to speak to a human being or for them to understand what is needed or communicate what is happening clearly.
