Review titled Superb Care.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Alison - Posted on 07 November 2024
I attended the Urgent Treatment Centre at a weekend and was delighted by the care I received. Given how difficult life is for the NHS at the moment, my expectations were low, but how wrong I was! I didn’t have to wait long, all the staff were efficient and kind and my care was exceptional. I came out feeling better ~ physically and emotionally. Thank you so much to you all.x

Review titled Visit to Outpatients
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I visited Dermatology Outpatients and the doctors were friendly and professional. The lady on Reception was abolutely lovely and so friendly, even when very busy. The hospital was like the cottage hospitals of old - small and welcoming, unlike the larger hospitals that can be overwhelming for some. Such a vital community service in these days of cut-backs.

Clinical and Reception staff were polite and helpful. Quick to react when my daughter’s pain worsened. Fortunately the X-ray services were open which saved us a trip to A & E. Luckily no fractures, just swelling and bruising. Thank you to all staff for your caring attitude.

Had to take my mum up to urgent care and they’ve closed temporarily have an ambulance outside and hardly anyone in waiting was told to either ring 999 or 111 I can not move my mother and are waiting outside as asked for help and ignored I get being busy but just having some help would be a huge help rang 999 and waiting for them it’s a joke how lack of care and concern chard hospital has about people if didn’t need to I would have gone elsewhere

I visited today. They were busy, but it was well worth the wait. Kind receptionist and very caring nursing staff. Wish other places were as nice as they were. Thank you to you all.

Review titled Very Good
Rated 4 stars out of 5

No where does it say I can review A and E . This review is for Chard A and E. Sent there by Ariel health who couldn't offer me a Nurse appointment within 27 hours. In and out of A and E in one hour, dressing changed, post op wound seen by Doctor. Lovely staff , caring, helpful. This is why people go to A and E. When will Chard get another surgery, it's so unfair on all NHS workers.

This hospital has been a godsend the last 2 weeks! In and out with my daughter, she is autistic and they've understood her needs and the nurses have been brilliant! The receptionists are always polite as well..

So lovely to receive kind, courteous treatment at this clinic. Staff were kind and helpful and the waiting area was very good with background music and a coffee machine.

Review titled Exceptionally Poor
Rated 1 star out of 5

Arrived at the Minor Injuries Unit an hour before it was due to close and the facility was locked with a sign saying it was closed due to being too busy. No cars were in the car park so clearly a poorly managed facility.

Thank you for your feedback, unfortunately we are seeing excessive numbers and acuity of patients across all the Minor Injury Units in Somerset and in order to maintain safety there are occasions where the unit may need to close either for a short period or earlier than usual. I am sorry that this had occurred on your visit. 111 are informed of any closures that take place so it is advisable to contact 111 first and they will be able to give you the most up to date information. Regards Hannah Coleman
