12pm appointment for day surgery ended up with a 5pm surgery time gowned at 5.30pm and cancelled at 6.30pm as ran out of time!!! No good or water all day as was told to stop food at 6am for the 12pm appointment in which around 10 other people arrived and then the whole saga starts! Communication is terrible and staff are rude and think they are above you

  3. Review titled Fantastic Service!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ellen Louise - Posted on 11 May 2023

I have recently been referred from my GP to the dermatology department at Chase Farm. I have found that the doctors, nurses and secretaries have all been absolutely amazing. I needed a lump removed and they organised it within 4 weeks of my original appointment. The ladies that carried out the procedure were so friendly and really put me at ease. On previous ocassions, I have visited the urgent care department who have the friendliest staff too! They are really helpful and always go above and beyond. I could not recommend this hospital more!

  4. Review titled Fixed my mistake

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 June 2023

In my rush to get my near 90year old mum treated I stupidly went to the wrong hospital. Just presumed GP had sent me to Chase Farm as that is where we previously went. Unfortunately they couldn't accept the referral form because it had a printed signature. After a bit of back and forth with the GP reception a wet signature form was sent through. The forms were accepted and mum was x-rayed within ten minutes. The x-ray and MRI area is excellent and staff at there and GP were so helpful. Thanks

  5. Review titled Impressive hospital, impressive care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 May 2023

The best hospital experience I have ever had. All the staff were helpful and kind and the medical and nursing staff were exceptional with great knowledge, expertise and excellent people skills. And in the Surgery Ward you get a room to yourself so much less stressful than a noisy ward and less chance of cross infection. Alas, the public transport links are bad from North West London despite Chase Farm being of the Royal Free. No bus from the only accessible station nearby (Oakwood) and difficult to get to for 7 am. But overall, many thanks to the staff at Chase Farm, I can't fault anyone with whom I came into contact.

  6. Review titled Unacceptable wait time

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Due for a steroid injection - no food all day Admitted at midday and wasn’t called in until 6.10pm! Unacceptable for a person aged over 70. Nurses and staff are great though

  8. Review titled No functioning Audiology 'Service' at Chase Farm

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Laurence Fagan - Posted on 01 March 2023

If your hearing aid stops working and you are almost totally deaf, don't look to Chase Farm for care. Repairs are allegedly contactable for 2 hours a day, 4 days a week, however they cannot and do not operate even this limited service. The phone rings three times and cuts off - no queue or holding on - cuts off. Trying through the switchboard (after the usual long wait) same result, cuts off. How on earth the CCG accepts this disgraceful state of affairs is beyond me. I have been trying for a week and struggling with no hearing, and I dare say many other elderly people are in the same position. Shame on them.

  9. Review titled Waiting for a taxi

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Jeanette - Posted on 17 March 2023

I wanted a taxi was told wait outside by the brown chairs. Waited 45 minutes! Then went back into reception and she said he was looking for me. So there are two entrances and it is not the main entrance for taxis but the one at the back.

  10. Review titled Confusing

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Doug Shipwright - Posted on 28 February 2023

I arrived at main entrance 10 mins before my blood test appointment. When attempting to us the check in machine in main entrance I was told by staff member no need to do that simply go to area G blood tests. I sat with other patients waiting and waiting until I spoke with another patient who advised I should check in at reception. Reception is hidden inside area G with no signage indicating 'Reception please check in' Why not a have a simple sign stating 'Have you checked in? with obvious signage to the reception desk.

Hi Doug Thank you for your feedback. I apologise that the information you were given was not complete. Though patients attending for a blood test don't need to use they check-in machines they will need to check-in with the receptionist in Zone G. I'll remind our concierge and volunteers of this. Thank you for your suggestion regarding signage. I will pass this onto our facilities team Garnett Guscott, Patient Experience Manager
