Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Laura - Posted on 21 January 2023

I would like to thank the recovery nurses and anethatist for making me feel so comfortable and reassured before and after my surgery they really did go the extra mile for me making sure I wasn't in pain and keeping me calm and warm. Thank you so much for everything I don't remember names but hope they will know me and how much I appreciated everything they did for me during my time with them. Your kindness and understanding made things a lot easier. Bless you all.

I was scheduled for Surgery, as I recently separated from my husband, I was very anxious facing this alone. The care I received from every person from the time I walked into the hospital and was discharged. Everyone was caring , kind, professional and explained everything to me. Thank you for your exceptional care.

  4. Review titled Great care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Carolyn Vallint - Posted on 27 January 2023

Came to A&E after falling on the ice and breaking my wrist. All the staff were professional and friendly and made me feel that I was important. Once seen by the triage nurse I was processed quickly through x-ray and the plaster room and I was impressed with the attention given to a relatively minor injury. It’s the first time I’ve had to visit this A &E and would definitely make the case for it to be open 24 hours!

  6. Review titled Staff Going the Extra Mile

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jim Onions - Posted on 29 December 2022

I would like to pass on my thanks to all the staff who managed the A&E department in Cheltenham on the afternoon and evening of 27th December 2022. The department was the busiest that I had ever seen, with the waiting room full and many people queuing down the corridor outside Radiology, others were sitting on the floor or were standing. Waiting time was 5-hours. Regardless of these pressures the reception, nursing, and Doctor team were exceptional and maintained their composure, and professionally moved us through the system. We were warned that A&E would close at 10pm (we arrived at 5.20pm) and therefore potential that we may not be seen that evening. Instead, staff from wards were reassigned to manage the A&E and we were eventually seen at 3.30am. We left at around 4am where a small handful of people remained to be seen in the waiting room. I do believe that a town the size of Cheltenham is worthy of an overnight A&E department, so I am grateful to your teams who went the extra mile to bridge this gap on 27th December.

  7. Review titled Very well looked after

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Christina Kingsmill - Posted on 29 November 2022

I cannot praise the staff enough after my emergency admission recently. From the hustle and bustle of A&E where I started to the general ward from which I was discharged I remained in the same bed through CCU and another ward which in my strange mind at the time, gave me an added sense of security. I felt supported and respected throughout, the care was excellent, the communication mostly excellent and it was cheering to see so many young people joining the ranks of the NHS. Even the food was enjoyable! My sincere thanks to everyone that looked after me from the tea ladies, the volunteer morning toast makers, the care assistants up to the nurses who kept an eye on my vital signs and the doctors and nurses doing the rounds with the consultants - thank you from the bottom of my now mended heart.

  10. Review titled Amazing support

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 December 2022

I came to the hospital as I was due to have surgery. I was so nervous about the whole thing, I didnt know what to expect as I have never had surgery before. There were 2 nurses who looked after me before hand and done all my paperwork, and looked after me afterwards, and the service they provided was above and beyond. They kept me calm, joking about with different stuff with me, and took all the time they could to take my bloods (I am a massive needle phobe). I can't remember their names, one was a trainee nurse and the other was a qualified nurse, but I just want to say thanks to them for keeping me company and keeping me calm
