Rated 5 stars out of 5

I went to Chorley Hospital for a procedure I was looked after with such care everyone that dealt with me went to great lengths to make me comfortable and nothing was to much trouble for them. I could not have been looked after any better.

Review titled Wonderful treatment
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I went with my husband who, it transpired , had broken his ankle. I want to thank and commend all the staff in urgent care who were so kind and helpful, from checking in, through triage, the physio in particular, who looked after us so well, the lady who put my husbands cast on, the radiographer and the receptionist in x ray. Everyone was so friendly. We could not have had a better experience.

Review titled Brilliant service throughout
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by 81year old - Posted on 29 December 2022
Within 2 mins my blood pressure taken. Within 30 mins saw specialist. Within 45 mins x-rayed. Within 60 mins results. Staff were excellent, from reception to triage, to consultant, to radiologist & back again, all cheerful and encouraging. Result, minor fracture of spine, keep taking the tablets. Many thanks for your excellent teamwork and service at this busy time.

Review titled Appalling reception staff
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 17 November 2022
I was told by my GP practice that the blood service had returned to a walk-in service so I turned up today with my paperwork. I discovered that I was in the wrong place having been informed by an abrasive receptionist that I'd need to speak to the blood service team about the GP paperwork and was redirected to urgent care. When I arrived at urgent care, I was again met with inappropriate hostility and told that I should have booked an appointment - clearly my fault for following the GP receptionist instructions. The communication between GP and hospital service needs to be significantly improved - both are blaming each other - and in the middle of it all is a frustrated patient who has wasted half the morning trying to find some answers and still no blood test. I will not be going back. I can understand that communcation can break down - what I cannot accept is the hostility towards a patient, trying to access care they are entitled to have and zero attempt to help.

Review titled Reassuring, patient and caring.
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Each time I have been admitted onto the Rawcliffe ward up until the moment I leave, everyone I have met/meet are so friendly and welcoming. Today was no exception. The consultants; the anaesthetists and all the way up to (especially) the reception staff and nurses at all levels were fantastic because you all: 1. smiled and greeted me carefully/kindly when I arrived so nervous and worrying inwardly. 2. everything was explained at every level. 3. time and patience were given at all times before and after my procedure and every question was answered. (I'd have loved to help make the (wipeable) Christmas Decs!)!!! Take care to you all, Thank you x
