Review titled Really great experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Having arrived at A and E in considerable pain I was triaged quickly and had my first assessment by a doctor within 30 mins. I was then referred to majors and had various checks and blood tests completed. Every member of staff I came across was so helpful and I was also able to see this with other patients they were dealing with. The whole process took about 6 hours but as they were waiting for blood tests I understood it would be a wait. They were able to rule out anything major which put my mind at ease. I was surprised just how much testing they were able to do just in A and E

Review titled Great calming experience for someone with health anxiety
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Nurse jackie - Posted on 25 October 2024
I saw nurse in the a and e, lady with short grey hair and tattoo’s … after an awfully painful experience at Clacton hospital the day before and as someone that already suffers health anxiety, she made me feel so calm and really eased my anxiousness, ensuring that the procedure was done with minimal pain, really attentive and can tell she really cares for her patients and her job. Thank you for making a traumatic experience as easy as possible

Review titled Excellent Service

I attended A&E after a fall involving my shoulder. I was seen within the hour even though this was not life threatening, had x-ray and nurse confirmed her suspicions that if was a fracture and how to treat this. It was confirmed by specialist in 48 hours. Cannot fault professional and caring treatment.

Whilst waiting to deliver my baby, she went into stress & the consultant/staff straight away jumped into action. They were absolutely amazing, they all knew what they were doing, prepared me for an emergency c-section. Despite all of the underfunding in the NHS they all jumped through hoops-I want to say a huge thank you to the team that were on duty on 29/09/2024 at 1:40am

All the staff who were involved with our Mum’s care on EAU + Tiptree ward were wonderful. We were listened to by Dr’s + all nursing staff + we could not have wished for her to have any better care throughout her 6 days in hospital. My brother + I were also well looked after too! Thank you everyone who was involved - you know who you are! 🥰 Keep up your very good work. With love + thanks Gilly

I was advised by 111 to visit the hospital on 23 Sep and from the moment I entered the hospital, to the moment I was discharged on 26 Sep, I was treated with exceptional care and respect by all members of staff.

Review titled Exceptional care

My wife and I were taken to A&E by a very pleasant and professional ambulance crew at approximately 6pm yesterday (Saturday 28th September). It was clear that the unit was extremely busy. My wife was transferred to a hospital trolley and placed in a corridor where a number of people were already waiting on trolleys. We were both extremely impressed with all the staff that we came into contact. Despite being clearly under pressure the service and treatment that my wife received was exceptional. My wife was wheeled into a bay for various functions and then returned to the corridor where she still received treatment from the nurse who remained in the corridor. The consultant introduced himself to us fairly early on and reassured us both with his early diagnosis. He advised us that we might expect a stay of 2 to 3 hours ‘minimum!’ He was fairly accurate as we were out in just over three hours! At no time did we feel that we were not receiving exceptional treatment. A first class team. Thank you all.

Review titled Small op to remove a potential cancerous growth on my ear

I have nothing but praise for the kindness, gentleness and professionalism of the staff of the Elmstead Day Unit. It is impossible to consider I could have had better treatment anywhere else and I was highly impressed by all. The staff went out of their way to ensure you were as relaxed and calm as one could hope for.
