  3. Review titled Amazing midwives and obstetric doctors

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Chloe Pugh - Posted on 23 March 2024

I have just left the labour ward after being checked for reduced fetal movements. Luckily all was fine. From ringing triage to being assessed by all 3 midwives I dealt with and the doctor who reviewed me I couldn’t say thank you enough. I wasn’t made to feel silly for coming in, in fact I felt the opposite, and I left feeling very reassured. I spent a couple of hours on the monitor and the amazing doctor performed a scan for me for extra reassurance In-between the times she was in emergency theatre. I was fully informed of the plan with my care and next steps throughout my time on the ward. Myself and my partner were very well looked after and it made a scary experience a positive one. I was reassured that if I felt worried again to call straight back in, even if it is the same day. All health care professionals I dealt with went out of their way to ensure me and my baby got the best care possible and were dealt with in a compassionate manner, even during a busy time where other emergency surgeries were taking place, and I can’t stress how much of a positive experience this was. Thank you so much.

  4. Review titled Excellent

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sally - Posted on 21 February 2024

Referred to A & E by 111 service and arrived approx 2am. All staff very nice, was given a hot drink, toilet spotless and the place was kept tidy. At 7am I was admitted to ward 53. The plastic surgery doctors were superb, explained everything and cared for me exceptionally well as did all the staff on ward 53. Thank you everyone

  6. Review titled A & E time spent waiting for a bed on a ward

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 January 2024

My relative has spent five days on a trolley in the A & E ward waiting for a bed on a medical ward. Nurses change every day and it is causing an immense degree of stress to both my relative and the family. We understand there is a shortage of beds, but five days on a trolley is not acceptable when someone is ill.

We were seen within half an hour of getting through via 111 for our 8 day old baby with possible stomach infection. Dr was very reassuring and thorough, empathetic and went out of her way to give extra advice. Clinic was clean, warm and welcoming

  9. Review titled Outstanding!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kim Madrick - Posted on 03 January 2024

I attended A&E at this hospital on 30/12/23 due to an acute emergency situation and I can't sing the hospital's praises enough. From my arrival to discharge the staff, and the services provided, were first class. The communication between staff and arranging of procedures was quick and seamless. The staff are efficient, friendly, professional and amazing on every level. This hospital is the best example of our wonderful NHS. Thank you.
