So much disappointed with the service, I went to the hospital at 8:30 pm with severe back and right rib cage pain I was seen by the nurse after 2 hours and the Dr saw me after 9 hours and he was so rude that he saw me crying in pain and told me to hurry up because he has more patients to see. He didn't show any sympathy or even apologised for being late. The night shift nurses didn't even give a dam I requested paracetamol 3 times but was ignored. Finally when I saw the Dr he told me to get a scan which he said will be at 8am so just wait outside the surgical clinic when I went there they told me I was booked for 10:30am. That's how incompetent these doctors so even after 12 hours of pain they still wanted me to wait just because the Dr made a mistake. Disgusted by the croydon University hospital, if we have to wait on those stupid chairs for 8 to 10 hours to see a Dr why not make us an appointment and tell people to go home and comeback after 8 hours. Shame on all involved as I have seen people fainting, bleeding, cryng in pain but they never cared or showed any sympathy they treated people worst then animals.

I had an appointment with the Rheumatology Dept for last Friday. Unfortunately it was cancelled due to Staff illness which is not a problem. However I have been trying to contact the Dept on and off during the day both by phone and email. All of my phone calls have resulted in me being on hold for over an hour with no human contact. My email has not been replied to. Why publish a telephone number on my appointment letter if it is not manned during the day ?

After being directed to sit outside a certain room, it turned out that the person I was seeing didn't realise I was there; because they were in another room - so appointment was late. In general, the room I was in did not look clean. There were dirty scuff marks all over the skirting boards and there were other issues such as grubby furniture. I mentioned this to the health professional, who said 'it was ok because it is the NHS'. I pointed out that we had just had a pandemic. The professional was also wearing a scarf that dangled over me, again not hygienic. Downstairs, the toilets near the cafe, had similar cleanliness issues, a through deep clean or steam clean would be appropriate.

Arrived all ok. seen super quick by lovely nurses and saw consultant/doctor. The doctor was clear and very nice and everything about my appointment was efficient. I can not praise the staff I saw in this department on this visit highly enough.
