Review titled Excellent and prompt service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Andrew Ray - Posted on 13 January 2023
I was seen very quickly yesterday by staff who were efficient and friendly at all times. The service for all coming in seemed to be well organised. We always knew what would be happening next, and we were offered free sandwiches and tea while waiting for blood results to come back. My gratitude to all.

I was in for surgery on the afternoon of the 31/01/2023 for a lipoma removal from my abdomen. From when I arrived everyone was helpful. The surgery was a bit painful but everything went according to plan. The nurses, doctors and surgeons who helped me, need praising for the service they provide.

My daughter who is just 17 years old came into the colonoscopy department today and the lady’s in this department went over and beyond for her. She has said it made it so much easier having doctors and nurses and other workers in the department that talk and be happy around them at such a awful worrisome time , thankyou so much to all of you we hope you get this message

Review titled Bad food machines and restaurant
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ralph gauntlett - Posted on 10 December 2022
choice is really really sad, what foolish person decides what content, chocolate nuts etc etc etc, you ever heard of different food, something fresh I searched all floors try find something decent, me not a happy chappy, alas I know complaint will do nothing, but I complained. restaurant, hint what fool ,has it closed when possible busy perio starts, afternoons, breakfast yes, very important, but come on folks people visit in afternoons an patients like to wander with family to that sort stuff, and dare I say a lot more in afternoons surely it's worth a 3 month trial just so you get the lazy person off there bottoms when they decide close at 2 lol. Sorry, rant is over now time for update next year, lol

Review titled Terrible experience in A&E
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 28 December 2022
I attended the department after suffering from excruciating abdominal pain and sickness. I am dealing with ovarian cancer. I waited 8.5 hours to be seen extremely briefly by a clearly overstretched Dr. Three hours of my time in the waiting room was spent on my knees, crying and groaning from the pain I was in. At no point did a single member of the sparse 'nursing staff' ask if I was OK. I have spent several years of my life living and working overseas, some of this in so called developing countries. I have never witnessed such a poor standard of service and more importantly compassion. The staff on duty on the night of December 25th appeared heartless in their approach to a job that is fundamentally based on care. A truly shocking and frightening experience!

Review titled Awful Care!!
Rated 1 star out of 5

Arrived early evening after speaking to 111 on behalf of my dad who had collapsed. 11.5 hour wait for a doctor! Couple tests done to be told it was something very serious. Told he was going to be admitted… 11am next day still awaiting bed… new staff to come on and tell us we no longer need admitting and it’s a case of vertigo. Didn’t get offered any drinks over night, didn’t check any observations overnight especially when it was a case of chest pain and fainting. Very poor experience. Sat there for nothing. Poor communication overall.
