    From the ambulance arriving till leaving A&E I was treated with respect everything explained to me . All the staff were excellent and they were very busy

  2. Review titled Contacting the department

    Wife was referred to Doncaster Royal Infirmary imaging Dept for x-ray on injured knee. Told to call the dept in 48 hours to see if referral had been received. Tried calling the dept but first time was cut off when third in queue. Second attempt, got through but the staff could not hear her so they hung up. Can I suggest that once the referral is received by dept, then the patient is sent a text confirming this, so they can attend to have the imaging done. This works do well with click and collect, why can't the NHS think smarter and act in the best interests of the patient? As it currently stands patients are held on hold for unnecessary periods of time and staff are busy answering the same questions day after day. Come on NHS ..... Work smarter not harder..

  4. Review titled Caring and fantastic people

    I would like to thank everyone involved in my operation, from surgeon to nurse they were all caring and fantastic people when I had to stay overnight, they watched me all through the night too, never still. They deserve more recognition than they get, again many thanks you wonderful people.

    Paramedics attended me was decided needed to go into DRI as ive got a nasty injury on my toe with necrosis gangrene. I was discharged at 3.30am the next morning with antibiotics??? Jump forward 3 weeks 2 nurses have now stated they cant understand what the consultant wants them to do with necrosis gangrene in my toe??? Yet 3 appointments per week are being wasted.

    I was admitted to Doncaster Royal Infirmary for a total knee replacement and the care I recieved was second to none. The surgeon, anesthetist and theatre nurse talked me through everything which put me at ease. As for the staff on Modular Ward, the nurses, the care assistants, the physios and the tea ladies, they could not have done any more to make my stay as comfortable as it was. They were attentive, reassuring and helpful at every turn, nothing was too much. Well done Modular ward, it was a pleasure to be looked after by you

    Right from the start of my pregnancy, where I struggled with two hospital stays due to Hyperemesis, all the way to the end, where I had to attend almost daily for extra monitoring. The entire Maternity team were beyond exceptional. From the midwives, to the support workers and the doctors. Every single person we came in to contact with were amazing and the care they gave was second to none. Their compassion honestly got me through 9 months of pure anxiety and various difficulties and I’m beyond grateful. How they looked after me and baby, this has allowed me to look back at a difficult pregnancy and feel happy and blessed.

    Brought a lady to gynae clinic this morning and wanted to thank every one of the staff because she is immunosuppressed. She is in a wheelchair due to long covid & suffers from severe anxiety. We asked if there was somewhere quiet to wait and were immediately taken to a small room to wait. Within a few minutes we were escorted to see the nurse specialist, examined and everything explained. It was such an efficient and friendly atmosphere which helped tremendously. Thank you everyone it was such a good experience. [Very happy with 'Staff attitude'] [Very happy with 'Team work'] [Very happy with 'Staff skills']

    I recently had an orthopaedic appointment cancelled due to the doctors' strike, and the appointment was re-booked. I travelled around 8/9 mile on 2 buses for the new appointment, bearing in mind that I have had anxiety when on buses. I booked in for my appointment on the self book machine and was told where to wait. After waiting 20 minutes I received a phone call from the hospital orthopaedic department telling me my appointment had been cancelled due to the doctor not turning up. I was very angry. I have carpal tunnels d arthritis in both hands and the function in both hands is very limited at the moment. It’s taken me years for my own GP to actually acknowledge that I have these problems. To now have both appointments cancelled. They sent me a new appointment for February. This appointment they won’t change to a sooner one and I am scared that this one will be cancelled too and I’ll be left with nothing. I do suffer with bipolar 1-mixed states and emotionally unstable personality disorder and am very much depressed

    I have just left the hospital after having a c section and I just wanted to leave feedback for all staff across all maternity services. From the consultant, to Antental assessment unit, to the theatre team. I had a very traumatic birth with my first baby and my concerns were listened to and the care I received was fantastic. The midwifery team on m1 and m2 and in anau were brilliant. Every midwife/support worker/hca I came into contact with were so lovely and explained everything. They are really worth their weight in gold and really do not get enough credit for the job they all do. They are compassionate, caring, understanding and very very hard working. You feel like a person not just a number. Thank you to all who do such an amazing job
