I attended an endoscopy appointment. I followed all the harrowing preparation for a week before and the bowel prep 24hours before - + nil by mouth. I was asked to come in early due to a cancellation. I complied. Then was kept waiting two hours before I was seen. Loads of people came after me but I was kept waiting. On trolley, in room ready to go and before they started they said they had to cancel. I was given incorrect prep prior to procedure. No apology no nothing. Told to return in May (so much for urgent!). Told to repeat it all over again. I am diabetic so struggled with nil by mouth for 24 hours. This is harrowing enough but to go through this and do nothing, not even try. Unapologetic, offered no reasoning but inferred it was my fault! I had done exactly what I was told to do. I have always defended nhs before but I'd get a manager in there to organise them so this doesn't happen again. I am furious, having paid for taxis to get there, in pain from my arthritis, diabetic and going hypoglycemic to have them say...'nah, come back in a month'. Don't these nurses have any compassion for what they put us through?

Review titled Care received was second to none

Spent a week in the care of the staff and nurses on ward S11. During this time they were able to get to the bottom of various health concerns and the help and care received was second to none. Everyone from the cleaning staff to the Ward Doctors were excellent and helped to make all patients feel important. I cannot thank the staff enough and words don’t really seem adequate, but what a fantastic team.

Having been unable to see a GP for several days I was referred to 111 who booked me in at Urgent Treatment Centre, as soon as I walked through the doors the receptionist staff were lovely and welcoming, the doctor was kind and calm and listened to my problems and gave me a solution/treatment instead of just dismissing as has happened previously. I was seen promptly - earlier than my appointment time, and I’ve never felt more at ease and comfortable in a health care setting as I did here! All of the staff in this Centre are a credit to NHS.

Visited for a fast track colonoscopy.All the staff were friendly,professional and reassuring.The whole procedure was pain free.

Have to say a big thank you to the girl on reception in a e at 4am in the morning but when I left to go to acute assessment ward everything failed no communication no heating no blankets felt failed

Absolutely amazing Doctor and the nurses were fantastic cannot praise them enough .I started to feel faint and they could not do enough for me this happend 3 times so I was very anxious, but they all helped me .Thankyou so much

Thank you to all A&E and ambulance staff in February and March when my husband had to get an ambulance both times. He was treated very well even though they were very busy. We were both grateful for the the help and advice he was given. It was a long wait in A&E then waiting for a bed on the ward but not the fault of the department. I can't understand why people moan all the time and are abusive to the staff. They were polite and courteous at all times to us. Thank you again

Referred to the breast centre for a lump they were so sensitive and kind every one from the HCA to the nurses and consultants I got my results back within two days. They are fantastic very grateful for all they do. They took their time with me, explained everything that was happening cannot thank them enough.

You did an amazing job at listening to our concerns, explaining your clinical findings and the management plan. Review titled Excellent support from A&E staff

I'd just like to provide some feedback regarding a member of staff at Doncaster hospital who was working in A&E. She was a lovely lady with dark hair, I think she had glasses too, she was on the left desk as you walk through the main doors into A&E at 12pm when I checked my daughter in. I was in floods of tears over an argument I'd had with my daughters Dad just before getting to A&E, she tried her best to calm me down and was really understanding and patient with my crying aswell as trying to make me feel better and making sure my daughter was seen as quickly as possible. It's little things like that in a time of crisis that I'll never forget, please could someone pass on my thanks and appreciation 🩷
