I spent 30 hours in A&E and AMU 5 last week, being treated for breathing difficulties. My sincere thanks to all the staff who cared for me so kindly and professionally. I am full of admiration for you as I have neither the skills nor the patience to do your job.

I broke my wrist a couple of weeks ago. The treatment I received initially in the Urgent Care Centre, and more recently from the Trauma & Orthopaedics team has been brilliant. They were quick, efficient and very caring. A big thank you to you all!

Came in for a transfusion, from the start to finish the service was really good. Each and every staff member was very friendly and helpful. The Nurses and Drs explained every process and the best treatments available. Thank you!

Review titled cut off
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I phoned the main switchboard number 3 times in order to obtain some information regarding intervention radiology and what times you can walk in and on each occasion I was cut off without speaking to anyone. I did not have an extension number as there is no information on the web site either. I understand if the switchboard is busy but to keep patients hanging on and then cut them off is disgraceful. If the numbers were on the directory patients would be able to contact the department directly - please update your website to reflect this.

Review titled Length of time
Rated 1 star out of 5

Arrived since 13.30pm and it is now 23.50. Waiting to see the medical team, even though was provided with a letter from the GP and advises that they were expecting us. Senior citizen, with various complications. I understand they maybe business but being in A&E for over 10 hours when you have a heart condition and a diabetic is appalling. Such poor service

Review titled Really good A&E
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Emily - Posted on 08 April 2024
I came to the A&E with a nasty cat bites as my pharmacist sent me there with urgency, and I was seen within 10 min for the initial assessment. I had X-ray for teeth left in the wound really quick. All the staff and nurses were extremely nice and polite. I was feeling really looked after. Thank you so much.

Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Abp - Posted on 15 April 2024
I attended a&e for acute chest pain. Everyone from the triage nurse, to the student nurse and the junior doctor were great. I expected long waits but was in and seen by a doc in 30 mins, tests run and discharged in 3 hours. Thank you
