  1. Review titled Wonderful staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jane - Posted on 13 March 2024

From the minute you arrive the staff are warm and welcoming, they explain and help you every step of the way. I felt very at ease and comfortable to ask anything. The two nurses that I had were wonderful. Shame not allowed to name them.

My brother was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. He was brought in with a stroke. The nurses went above and beyond anything expected.

  3. Review titled Efficient and caring service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was treated for a suspected stroke - no previous history. The staff were all efficient and pleasant, explaining each procedure. I was taken by ambulance to Northwick Park after various tests were completed even though I was not presenting with very obvious symptoms . It was later confirmed that I had indeed suffered a stroke. I am extremely grateful and very impressed by the department.

  4. Review titled Ealing Hospital saved my life - thank you so much

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Timothy Bowdler - Posted on 25 March 2024

I was brought in to Ealing Hospital at around 3am on Tuesday, March 19th. Having already attended Wexham Park Hospital on the 17th with stomach pain and, following inconclusive tests, I was still not sure of the issue. Within an hour at Ealing a swift diagnosis from a doctor on A&E was reached. It was clear I had a bowel obstruction and urgent action was required. By 1pm I was in Theatre having a laparoscopy at the hands of expert team of which I cannot name on this portal. The operation was a success and I am on the road to recovery. I have to say that a chain of events ensured my survival. The 111 service immediately called an ambulance when I told them my vomit was brown, the A&E department was quick and professional, the aneasthetists and surgery team were brilliant and the staff at South Ward 3 were absolutely wonderful. All the links had to be in place to ensure my survival. It could have been so different. On the 19th I was thinking of trying to 'sleep it off' but I made a decision on the off-chance to call 111. Had I not made that decision I would not be here now. I didn't know that, at best, I had around 12 hours to live. What a wonderful hospital and what a wonderful NHS. Thank you so much. However, I particularly want to thank the Ward staff, the doctor in A&E who diagnosed the problem quickly and the operating team. The ambulance crew were also excellent. I cannot praise everyone enough. As a result of your work, my two young children still have a dad. It's amazing and lovely.

  5. Review titled Ward 7 South staff at Ealing Hospital

Rated 5 stars out of 5

A shout out to all the staff on the Gastrology ward (7 south) at Ealing Hospital. My brother is currently an inpatient there and the staff have gone above and beyond to provide excellent care. What stands out is the kindness they have extended not only to him but to us as a family. Every single member of staff is under tremendous pressure taking care of so many patients with multiple medical needs. But this has not stopped them from seeing patients as their main priority. Deeply grateful for what you have done for my brother. Thank you.

  6. Review titled Truly wonderful nurses

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 March 2024

Our dear mother has been here over a week, first in A&E, then in two wards. We have met probably 50-60 different nurses and every single one has been incredible. Wonderfully kind and caring to Mum and to us, making her last days peaceful and comfortable. We can’t thank you enough.

  7. Review titled Terrible and disorganised practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 January 2024

A pre surgery assessment was arranged for my knee surgery so I booked the time off work so I was free for the appointment call but no one called me. I am in disbelief. I tried calling the hospital but they couldn’t put me through to the team so now I don’t know what’s happening with my surgery. After a year and a half of waiting on the waiting list, they just didn’t bother calling me for my pre operation appointment

  8. Review titled Caring and professional staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Misha - Posted on 18 December 2023

Honestly I don't know how the staff do it but every single member of the team that treated me or I saw around me gave every patient The care and respect they deserved. I take my hat off to them. I went to urgent care, was transferred to A&E and the to Acute medical care, I encountered the xray team, pharmacists, consultants, nurses and porters. All amazing. Despite being busy, stretched and clearly not have the physically space to treat people. I thought they were organised and I felt they were doing everything they could to see people as quickly as they could. Also witnessed them dealing professionally in the face of abuse from patients. I have luckily never had to use the NHS on this scale and was surprised at how good it was. I would love to thank individuals

  9. Review titled Excellent doctores and nurses in A&E

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Joëlle Randall - Posted on 09 December 2023

We often read negative reviews about the state of the NHS and its hospitals. As a French national I was admitted as an emergency on Friday. The level of competence, care from the doctors and nurses was amazing. Only downside was the 9 hours wait but at the end of the day, it was well worth it. These people work so hard. They deserve our appreciation.
