  1. Review titled Excellent treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Miss Johnson - Posted on 15 March 2023

My Mother was taken into A&E on the 14/3/23. The treatment, care and compassion she was shown was second to none. Nothing was a problem, no matter how big or small. The department was extremely busy, the admission unfortunately coincided with the Junior Doctors strike. Despite this, everything, from tests to moving cubicles, to seeing specialist doctors was all done in a very efficient and timely manner. I would like to send my heartfelt thanks to all concerned

Dear Sir/Madame, Thank for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback. We appreciate how understanding patients can be when situations out of our control such as strikes occur. I have passed on your feedback to the ward who I am sure will also be thankful for your review. Kind Regards, Emma Calnan -Patient Experience Officer

Taken to A&E by ambulance following a bicycle accident. All staff extremely kind. Care very thorough and treatment swift, kept informed of the plans - what scans/tests/treatment to be carried out annd why and timescale. Really impressed by the doctors, nurses, porters and scanning staff. Thanks all

Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for your kind comments in relation to the Cath Lab at Ealing Hospital. It was lovely to read how the staff treated you both and how you both felt calm during the treatment. I have now shared this with a lead staff member from the team so that they can share your words with the wider team. I hope that your daughter is recovering well and wish you all the best. 4. Review titled The service and care were excellent

by BDJH - Posted on 06 January 2023

I presented at Ealing Accident and Emergency with chest pains. I have had two stents put in 9 years ago at the same hospital. The service and care were excellent, I was seen within 30 minutes and had various tests and results within 3 hours. All the time I was checked and offered food and drink. I want to commend all the staff and congratulate them on doing such a good job, especially as, in my opinion, governments over the last 50 years have starved the NHS of resources and don't seem to care about this vital public service.

  5. Review titled Outstanding care in Accident and Emergency

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Puja Arora - Posted on 19 December 2022

I cannot thank all the staff in the wonderful accident and emergency department. Having suffered a knee fracture and attending Watford A and E, where I experienced horrendous neglect, I decided to attend Ealing hospital. The care I received was outstanding. From the X ray team, to the nurses and Drs, each person was so efficient and compassionate. I cannot thank you enough for what you did for me.

  7. Review titled Great Patient Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I accompanied my grandma to the A & E department and the staff here were lovely and helpful. Despite my grandma being unable to speak English fluently all of the staff made every effort possible to make her feel comfortable. Although it took a while at no point were we uninformed. We were frequently updated by the nurse who want above and beyond to make sure my grandma was getting the best care possible. Overall it was a very positive experience with the staff at Ealing hospital and I thank them for providing the care and support they gave to my grandma.

  8. Review titled Casual approach to mask wearing and hand hygiene

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by vulnerable patient - Posted on 02 November 2022

l attended ealing hospital radiology department for a chest radiograph yesterday. Before coming l checked the website and, since l am vulnerable on two counts (post transplant & chronic health condition) l was reassured to find patients and visitors are expected to wear masks. When l arrived l was shocked to find mask wearing was considered a matter of personal preference- and many staff did not wear masks nor did patients/visitors. The radiographer who adjusted my position was not masked.Today at university college hospital everyone (clinical and support staff and patients )did wear masks and handsanitisers were freely available. l did not feel ealing hospital paid sufficient attention to the safety of vulnerable patients.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback. The Trust updates it's mask wearing policy in line with guidance from NHS England. Currently Staff should be wearing masks in clinical areas, however masks in clinical areas are optional for both staff and patients. However, as you have highlighted that the staff member was not wearing a mask I shall pass this on the Lead Radiographer. Kind Regards Pippa Kashmiry - Patient Experience Lead.

  9. Review titled Profesjonalizm

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Thank you all NHS team members in A&E and your hard work. I'm pretty sure you do your best to treat thousands of people from our part of the metropolis. We waited with patience few hours because we understand there's no other options. We also understand some people with pain or higher risk could pass through. I've noticed some lack of emphaty in reception but I could understand even that it this place where people keep fighting with pain and fear and bahave sometimes in terrible way. It will be great to show the love and support but property some of you lost it long time ago. It was way better when one of the doctors call our name. Thanks for the professionalism. We've been informed on every steps what's going on and what will be next. Covid, blood and urine tests, x-ray was done quickly. We know it wasn't easy to check as it needs consulting with specialist at our sons health care team. Everything was done as soon as possible. We've been discharged same day and now we can continue to support our son fighting with covid with all questions answered. His temperature keeps jumping to 40° but we know how to manage it and we are happy of his immune system working normal. Big thank you. Weel done!

  10. Review titled A&E, Urgent Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Acton resident - Posted on 12 November 2022

This was a good experience. I had to wait about 3.5 hours to be seen because I was not a poorly under-5, a teenager with a sports injury, a person in great pain or in any other priority category. But the warmth of the hospital quickly dried up my cold so I was quite hygienic. When I was finally seen, the consultation was efficient and respectful. I left with three medications and started on them at once, as advised. Feeling much better. I'd have gone to my GP but it was a Saturday. Thank you to Ealing A&E, Urgent Care.
