Rated 5 stars out of 5

This year my wife had the onset of new Atrial Fibrillation. The care and kindness received from her Cardiologist has been and continues to be amazing. He is a brilliant listener and worked hard to find a solution to returning her to good health. Two words 'fantastic and thanks'.

  7. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jason (Jay) Franklin-Lester - Posted on 20 August 2022

I attended A&E with a fractured ankle. From the triage nurse to the x-ray team and the practice nurse, they were all incredibly helpful and put me at ease. Explained what was going on. They all introduced themselves and I felt reassured by their professionalism. On a busy Saturday I was through and on my way home in an hour and a half. I was even given a cup of tea whilst I waited. Outstanding work by all. Please pass on my sincere thanks to them all

  9. Review titled Terrible Experience

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 June 2024

At 11pm I fell at home and injured my leg and wrist. I was in agonising pain and couldn't walk. I was put on a trolley in the ambulance and helped into a wheelchair at. A&E. I was told that I had badly as my arm and leg, and that I was going to.hospital for pain relief. The paramedics were kind, courteous and.supportive. I was wheeled into the. waiting room land to wait to be triaged. As it was early, it wasn't too busy and I didn't have to wait too long. As I had taken pain killers at home, I wasn't given anymore. I have Parkinson's Disease (PD) and had in all the.panic left my main i medication at home. The. triage. nurse was unable to give me any as I had not been admitted. My observations were taken and I was then wheeled back into the waiting room. I sat.there for 7 hours. I couldn't go to the toilet and I wasn't able.to get it drink or food. ii hadn't 't. had any sleep overnight so I dosed as well as having my. tremors in the injured arm and. being in extreme.pain. My leg was uncomfortable. The Advanced Practitioner came to review me and said I needed to be on the trolley to get examined. I couldn't get on the trolley to help as I couldn't move my leg. I had. xrays which showed t had badly broken my knee and waist. I was then admitted and given pain relief and PD. medication. It had become busy quickly, so the staff were rushing from patient to patient. Wheen I saw staff were friendly and. caring but always. rushing everywhere. I tried to be assertive but being tired and in pain, I wasn't heard or acknowledged.

We were sorry to learn that you fell at home and injured your knee and wrist and that when you attended the Emergency Department you were not heard or acknowledged and were left in pain and without your usual Parkinson's disease medication. Please accept our sincere apologies for your experience. As you may be aware, our Emergency Departments have been experiencing a high volume of patients attending for an unpredictable range of illnesses and injuries. At times when the Emergency Department is clinically challenged, this regrettably results in longer waiting times for our patients than we would wish for and staff not being able to provide the level of attention we would aspire to provide.
