Review titled Terrible admin
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Malik Ibrahim - Posted on 15 April 2023
Invited me for a 15/04/2023 1530 appointment. Sent a text confirming. Phoned me two days before to confirm I will be attending. Day before sends me a text confirming date and time. I arrive promptly only to be told I have wasted an hour on a bus and they made a mistake with my appointment. Terrible. Avoid. Their admin is a shambles.

Review titled Awful in every way
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 April 2023
Located in the middle of nowhere the experience starts with a sign at the entrance confirming you have 3 hours free parking. Two weeks later you receive a £50 fine as located in the corners are signs telling you to log in at the front desk. It goes without saying when you stop there to ask directions the staff fail to advise logging in. My doctor now requires a blood test , I go on line and no appointments for at least 5 weeks. This hospital is an absolute disgrace and the NHS not much better

Review titled Don’t go to the toilet
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 March 2023
I arrived and checked in for my x ray and asked how long it would be. I was told 50 mins so I said ‘ok I have time to go to the toilet then’. The receptionist told me to come and tell him when I was back so a few mins later I did. He said ‘it’s 1.5 hours now - 5 more people just came in’! I was shocked and pointed out I should be before all those people in the queue, he would neither confirm nor deny if he would give me my original place in the queue and eventually just turned away. I can’t believe he added 40 mins to my wait time for going to the toilet! And then was so rude and unhelpful about it, it was such a horrible experience.

Thorough, efficient and professional. Everything was explained from X-ray to treatment. There was a wait but clear information was given. The information about follow up care was clear and detailed. Highly recommended

Review titled Denied test requested by consultant
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 February 2023
I was referred to ENT under a two week wait after having a scan. My lovely consultant referred me for an urgent biospy. I finally received an appointment just over four weeks later for an ultrasound and not a biospy as requested by my consultant. I queried this over the phone at Finchley memorial and the staff were quite blunt and rude. I had the scan despite already having one in January and was advised I would not need a biospy and that there is no further action. The person who did the first scan highly recommend a biopsy, my consultant then also highly recommended a biospy yet finchley memorial disagree despite guide lines on the thryoid charity website also suggesting I should have a biospy. I am now having to go private for a biopsy. It's seems to be more about saving money rather than what's best for the patient.

Review titled Brilliant hospital
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Joanna Bryan - Posted on 17 February 2023
I was treated with respect from all the staff. Friendly, attentive and reassuring. My treatment was excellent by a lovely friendly nurse and I just couldn't believe how many people they have to deal with on a daily basis. Amazing hospital as I just couldn't get an appointment from my own GP and they saw me on the same day.

Review titled 7 month wait for Cardiology!!!!!!
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 February 2023
I’m literally in shock. I have been referred to Cardiology. I get the letter finally telling me to book my Cardiology appt. 4 choices. Great you would think ! No. Not great at all. Absolutely appalling. Not a single Cardiology clinic has an appointment !!!! None. Nothing. Zero. I also read that 9/10 patients get seen by 30 weeks. 30 weeks !!!! That is over 7 months !!!! This obviously means that people must be dying waiting for Cardiologist appointments !! Then it said oh if no one contacts you by the end of March you can then call them up. Never ever have I heard of such a diabolical situation regarding possible urgent help. We are not talking about Arthritis here. We are talking about possible serious heart issues. I’m appalled and disgusted. It does not even tell you each clinics specific waiting times. Other than saying the 30 weeks for all !! It’s a complete and utter disaster. Let’s see if anyone even bothers to contact me. I won’t hold my breath.
