  3. Review titled Great experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Judith Morton - Posted on 29 August 2024

I was on Ward 19 and the staff - doctors, nurses, physios, and cleaner - were absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble to them even though they appeared to be short staffed. They made a very nervous lady feel great. Thank you

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Alan - Posted on 09 July 2024

Had a day appointment at ward one and I have some experience being in hospitals. I can only thank the whole team for being caring for not just myself but all the patients. I work in customer services and will say the levrl of understanding and care is number one from ward one.

  6. Review titled Lloyds pharmacy

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Patricia Turner - Posted on 14 June 2024

The comments posted by a customer on the 10th May 2024 are entirely appropriate. The service from this pharmacy today remains hopelessly inefficient and badly in need of effective management. In particular a regular wait of well over an hour - today my wait was nearly two hours - is unreasonable. I visit every four months and it is the one part of my hospital visit I hate, particularly when contrasted with the other excellent care and attention I receive at the Freeman.

  10. Review titled Very poor services

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Nick Whitton - Posted on 10 May 2024

I have spent over an hour today waiting in a collection queue at the pharmacy. I appreciate this is run by Lloyds on behalf of the hospital but you are ultimately responsible for the services you commission as well as those you provide. My cancer nurse had already told me that she had requested my meds yesterday and they should be ready. Lloyd’s have a sign apologising for long delays suggesting that they have experienced an increase in demand at the same time as being short of staff. Frankly that is not good enough. An increase in demand has to be managed without allowing very long queues to build up. If they are understaffed then they need to recruit and improve incentives if they are experiencing difficulties finding staff. The queue today was disgruntled and that, in turn, meant that frontline staff were under unnecessary pressure. Although my meds were there, ready, it still took them almost 10 minutes to find them because the dispensed drugs waiting for collection is poorly organised. This poor service needs to addressed as a matter of urgency.
